22.01.2022 Nabru visted the new MPavilion at Queen Victoria Gardens this week. We are told it is an event hub, a meeting place, a temporary landmark, a spontaneous detour, a starting point. From October 2015 to February 2016, the MPavillion team are collaborating with thinkers, doers and makers to bring you a free four-month program of talks, workshops, performances and installations. The pavilion was simpler than expected. No surprising moving parts or secret messages cast by the sun light. Instead the focus of the design is to gather people and provide an alternative event space. The structure is a light yet effective shelter with the semitransparent roofing toning down the UV whilst letting people embrace the spring/summer gardens. 19.01.2022 2 out of 3 Nabru directors meeting up in Berlin, this time at Tempelhof Airport. During WW2 Tempelhof Airport was famous for the "Berlin Airlift" of 1948-49, which ran at its peak over 1000 flights a day in order to supply the 2.5 million residents of Berlin with essential living supplies. Since the airport closed in 2008, the city of Berlin reclaimed the 386-hectare open space and one of the world's largest buildings in a central location for public use.... 15.01.2022 Nabru directors meeting up in Berlin to discuss future tactics and strategies. Meeting point is the famous Holocaust Memorial (a.k.a. Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe) in Berlin, designed by Peter Eisenman. 2711 unique concrete blocks arranged in a grid form an immersive and moving memorial to the millions who lost thier lives.

02.01.2022 Pacific Werribee, Urban Diner, Werribee Victoria. Progressively we are seeing suburban regions develop urban landscapes that appeal to the metro generation. It is interesting to see the scales provided and the design elements used to create this 'slice of city'. Probuild began work at Werribee Plaza in March 2014. The 140,000m2 expansion will include the construction of approximately 140 new retail tenancies over three levels, a new fresh food area and a 350m mall connectin...g a new Myer to the Target store. A new entertainment and restaurant precinct will also be established, along with a multi level car park and upgrades to the centre’s existing plant and equipment.
