25.01.2022 The upcoming 2020-21 Nacra nationals marks 30 years since Hervey Bay hosted the 1991 Nacra 5.8 world championship. In commemoration of this occasion, Nacra Australia have built a special (30th Anniversary Edition) Nacra 5.8 which emulates the aesthetics and design from the era. The boat, which has been named ‘Happy Anniversary Baby’ will be helmed by the same person who won the 1991 worlds 30 years ago. John Forbes. John ,along with his daughter Bronte, will be travelling to ...Hervey Bay in Dec/ Jan from their home waters of Pittwater to celebrate his momentous achievement at this not-to-be-missed regatta. John is a dual Olympic medal winner and also has won numerous world titles over the years. His family introduced the Nacra class to Australia in the late 70s as well. 23.01.2022 Must be summer!!! Big thanks to Nacra sailing for getting the sails made so quickly. Last Thursday we got an order for Nacra 17 mainsail, jib plus 4 spinnakers and trampoline for Nacra 15. Items arrived yesterday and we managed to get them sent away so all will be sailing this weekend. Amazing all under a week. We have Nacra 15 sails in stock as well Bob Hensen

21.01.2022 Nacra Australia is at Geelong for the Oceania titles and world championships for Nacra 17 and 49ers. Big thanks to Nacra sailing for getting the parts here on time. We are on site till 3rd February and will be back for the world titles starting later this week. 20.01.2022 This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the 1st Nacra 5.8 worlds held in Hervey Bay. This event attracted 63 boats and was a huge success with 2 weeks of strong wind sailing which saw many capsizes and bruised bodies. We would love to see as many 5.8s attend the regatta in Hervey Bay to help celebrate this great occasion. Here are the results and some sailing photos from the event.

18.01.2022 Please help the South Australian association by entering for the upcoming nationals. Nacra Nationals coming up are looking good, I will be ordering shirts soon, there are still a lot of entries to come in from people that have booked accomodation, you are guaranteed the correct size shirt if you submit your entry this week, after that I will be guessing what sizes to order, we have about 40 boats coming and a couple of people from England plus Hong Kong giving it a bit of an international flavour see you there

17.01.2022 2nd Nacra 15 foiling kit arrives in Aus. Great to see another 15 converting over to a full foiling version. The kit includes everything from a new flatter spinnaker to a new x bar and is first class in its finish. Nice L shape rudder as well. Can’t wait to see it on the water !!

10.01.2022 It gives us great pleasure to announce the 42nd Nacra nationals are to be held at Hervey bay sailing club from the 30th of December 2020 to the 5th January 2021. Hervey Bay is a relaxed seaside town with heaps of accomodation ranging from caravan parks to 5 star resorts all with in walking distance to the club. Hervey Bay has had a long history with the Nacra class.... Hosting many national and state titles over years. It also hosted the inaugural 5.8 world titles in 1991 this will be the 30th Anniversary of the event and we are expecting a large 5.8 fleet again to attend. The nationals are open to all class legal Nacra catamarans so we hope to see as many of you there as possible. We are aiming to have NOR out in coming months. 10.01.2022 Wow -3 years ago was the first Nacra 15 title in Australia. A lot has happened since then, the boat is still going great here in Australia. Nacra Australia continues to support the boat and class here. We have most parts in stock which helps to reduce freight costs for everyone. Please give us a call if you need anything to do some winter maintenance over the lockdown period. Let’s hope we are all back in the water soon.

07.01.2022 Just arrived a new shipment of Nacra 15 and 17 parts all in time for the start of the season. We have mainsail, jib , battens , spinnaker poles, x bar, booms,carbon telescopic tillers, snuffer bags, bridle wires and many smaller parts for all around the boat.
