19.01.2022 Happy fathers Day to all the amazing Dads out there, thank you for all you do This week we made custom t-shirts for our dads. I am putting this post up early to give you a chance to make it if you like Instructions -... With a pen and paper trace hand, cut it out. Place hand on t-shirt, preferably a dark colour. Fill a spray bottle with bleach/water and spray lightly around the paper hand, I did this as I would not recommend a child being around bleach but they watched from a distance You can let it air dry or use a hair dryer. Then all you need to do is decorate the tags, take the old one off leaving the plastic piece and put new one on.
19.01.2022 It has arrived!! Yesterday We were lucky to run into postman Pat on our walk to school, Pat stopped for a chat and sang us a song "Postman Pat, Postman Pat, Postman Pat and his black and white cat, Early in the morning, Just as day is dawning..." The children asked if he would bring us mail one day and he said he would, so we will organise a time to sit out and receive the mail from him and maybe gift him a black and white cat ( toy ) By the time we got back from schoo...l, our pram had been delivered by another postman in a van, Keaton has seen two types of mail men in one day! He was keen to open the box and see what was inside. Keaton loves anything with wheels so you can imagine how excited he was helping me build the big wheeled pram. Once built he sat in it and I pushed him around the house "Next week we will take it to the park Keaton"
19.01.2022 Good morning I have a question... Are you okay? Today is R U OK day, I would like you all to know that Im always here for a chat without judgement. Please if you are feeling down I am here to even just listen if you need I would also ask that everyone reach out to their loved ones and see how they are doing not only today but as much as you can. At Nadines Family Day Care to help us check in we have purchased this feelings board from #kmartaus to teach children about emotions and to do a little daily checkup on how they are feeling, they can also move it around throughout the day as their feelings change

18.01.2022 Here at Nadines Family Day Care we are taking steps to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. I ask at this time to please keep a 1.5m social distance and for any non essential visits to stop until further notice. Door handles and surfaces touched will be cleaned after each contact as well as usual cleaning practices already in place. More information and notices will be provided today for parents and as part of our programming over the next few days we will be practicing social distancing, hand washing procedures, a hand wash experiment, COVID-19 information and colouring workbooks for children.

14.01.2022 Did you guess it? This weeks theme is all about.. planes! We have created a runway and sky using Black beans, peas, cardboard, paint, blue dyed rice and cotton wool for the clouds. Another great little sensory play activity After reading "how a plane works", we used our imagination and discussed where we would like to go on a plane, one child made up a name for a country as they pointed to the globe and another said they would like to visit "Nanny and Poppy"

10.01.2022 Science week Today we asked - Why are there craters on the moon? This was our simple experiment using flour, a plate and different sized beads. We also talked about how the moon is more susceptible to craters from space rocks than Earth. Earths atmosphere burns most meteorites and asteroids before they come in contact with Earths surface. The moon, however, does not have an atmosphere to protect it!
09.01.2022 We made an indoor obstacle course today !! This was requested by one of the children after being asked to think of fun activities they would like planned. We really had so much fun and spent alot of time doing the course in turns and together. - This activity helps develop fine and gross motor skills also balancing and hand- eye coordination
08.01.2022 This weeks theme was so fun! Bugs and insects We read a book about where they live. We created a home for them and gave each one a name. We even painted rocks for our garden The children in particular enjoyed moving the bugs and insects through the "dirt" (black beans). Great little sensory activity

06.01.2022 Children benefit from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration, sense of calmness and relaxation improves. We like yoga so much that it is practiced each day. Also, if we need some time out to calm and relax, we meditate. I try to make it fun and fresh by acting out Disney movies or will talk about nature and animals ect.. Along with reading books this has become the childrens most favourite time of the day and has been apart of our routine for the past few months. Ps. It is also very cute watching them
05.01.2022 Highly recommend this channel if you are interested in teaching the kids yoga or just looking for a fun indoor physical activity on a rainy day. 04.01.2022 Yesterday we took a cosmic kids yoga adventure. Book theme - The very hungry caterpillar Today we are going on a bear hunt At the start of every yoga practice I ask the children to lie down, close eyes and take a nice long deep breath. I spotted little Aurora in napping position this time, living her best life So happy to capture this moment on camera.

01.01.2022 Sensory play - Black beans and trucks!! A big thank you to one of the mums at our family day care, she gave us a great idea for a sensory play activity. The children have spent so much time with this box already and it has to my surprise shown to be very calming for them. They play so quietly and when a bean goes astray they pick it up and put it back in the box. We are going to add a cup and diy ramp to it soon
