24.01.2022 To all our valued members, volunteers and supporters, Nagambie Speedway has been monitoring the COVID-19 situation like everyone else around the world. We, like other tracks, were hoping that it would not put a premature end to our 2019/2020 season, however, as you can see in the below information from Speedway Australia, there will be no further racing or attendance at any Speedway Australia venue. Our 55 Lap Gold Rush that was scheduled for the 23rd & 24th May has been canc...elled. We hope everyone stays safe and healthy during this virus crisis. When we have any new information, we will bring it to your attention. See you all at Nagambie Speedway when racing resumes at some stage down the track! Kerry O'Brien President Nagambie Speedway Club Hi there, We hope this email finds you fit and well in this unprecedented time. Shutting down the sport of speedway is not something we ever envisaged having to witness, but events have conspired to either curtail the end of the 2019/20 season, or for tracks in the North impede the start of the 2020 season. Until further notice there is no on-track activity permitted at speedway tracks, as our industry is not considered essential to the running of the country. It’s far more important that we all stay safe, follow the government guidelines and use this time to prepare for better days ahead. We know there are members of the speedway community who are being affected by this situation, and we extend our sympathies to you if you’re in that position. The speedway family is a large and caring group, so please reach out as appropriate if you are in need of support or assistance. We’ll be able to put you in touch with someone who can help. This update will provide you with information about the activities of Speedway Australia in the upcoming weeks, as a number of our planned events have been impacted. We’ve also launched a number of new initiatives to best ensure speedway can emerge from this crisis in the best possible shape. Thanks for reading, The Speedway Australia Team

15.01.2022 Hi everyone! It's been a while between races...but hopefully we all keep behaving ourselves and hear of more restrictions easing soon, especially with travelling from Melbourne Metro to (Nagambie) Regional. We are busy working through finer details in regards to what we are allowed to do and when... Scrutineering Days, Family Days, etc.... Obviously we will let you all know more when we know more. Covid-safe guidelines will need to be followed at all times with whatever decisions are made! .... In the meantime, please continue to use this time to get your cars ready and ensure your safety apparel is up to current specifications. We're sure some of you are more than eager to get back on the track On behalf of the Nagambie Speedway Committee

15.01.2022 Alrighty! Less than a week until Nagambie Speedway hosts the Crash n Bash Victorian Title! For those camping at the track on Saturday night, we have Kiwi from Heathcote entertaining everyone with some tunes between 5-8pm For these 3 hours, the canteen will be selling Roast Beef and Roast Pork rolls!! Please support Nagambie Speedway and make this a weekend to remember!

15.01.2022 The news you've all been waiting for!! We have a PROPOSED race weekend on 5th & 6th December 2020. We are in close talks with Speedway Australia and Crash n Bash on how the weekend may look. Everything is Covid-regulation dependent. Dan Andrews is set to ease more restrictions on Sunday 22nd November. Waiting until this date to organise things would be leaving it too late. So, with everything going well, lock this date in your calendar. There will be a Covid-Safe plan in plac...e and the weekend would look quite different to a normal race weekend. All details will follow when they have been gone through with a fine-tooth comb. If the race is to go ahead we will be having a working bee weekend on the 28th & 29th November from 9am both days so keep it FREE! Everyone is keen to strap in to the seat again but we can't if the complex and track ain't ready. What we need from you is memberships to be paid asap in order for your car to be scrutineered before the season opener (details will be in your newsletter coming out soon). Kerry will be in contact with car owners to organise daylighting. If you have any questions, please contact Kerry O'Brien personally instead of on here where every Tom, Dick and Harry is bound to put their 2cents in Like I said, better to be prepared and maybe have to cancel, than be unprepared and rush around at the last minute. Start applying for your Speedway Australia licences online. But, be mindful, Kerry cannot approve them until your club membership is paid

13.01.2022 FAMILY DAY TODAY! Please have your phone ready to check-in at the front gate to scan the QR code And canteen will be open with full menu available

13.01.2022 Good morning all, Well I would like to be posting something about the race meeting next weekend...but UNFORTUNATELY due to CRASH N BASH pulling out due to the strict Return to Racing rules from Speedway Australia, the race meeting is cancelled. We apologise to all drivers who were keen to get back behind the wheel. Nagambie Speedway will be holding a Family Day Weekend on the 5th & 6th December so our members and those drivers who were in favour of the race meeting going ahe...ad don't miss out. As you can imagine Kerry's phone is very busy. You will need to be a member of a club & have a current log book to attend. Speedway Australia licence is required (either your yearly one or a practise permit). There is no limit on number of practise permits for the year. MESSAGE Kerry your details & intention to participate as there will still be a limit. Fees and other details to follow. When you arrive at the track, you will be required to scan a QR code which we have had set up, and complete contact tracing details. Social distancing will need to be followed. Let's have a great weekend next weekend - there might not be races but there will be plenty a chance for you to do laps before the first race meeting in 2021

10.01.2022 Another working bee weekend done! Thanks to Danny, Shane and Nathan O'Brien, Geoff Pearce, Peter Lloyd, The Derks Family, Paul Metcher, Howard Colwell, Ray Sullivan, Kate Stuchberry, River, Dane and Blake for all attending on Saturday. To Danny, Shane, Nathan, Geoff and Peter - thank you for attending SATURDAY AND SUNDAY We got heaps done, considering the amount of people we had turn up. The long weekend is shaping up to be a massive weekend so we need our complex looking fantastic. Bumper to Bumper will be there interviewing drivers, recording footage and taking photos and it doesnt take 5 minutes to get our complex ready. I am quite disappointed in some members, not having attended a working bee yet in the 2019/2020 season. You still have next weekend's working bee to redeem yourselves.
