25.01.2022 A rose for every mother who may not get to hug the one's they love this year. Happy Mother's Day to all our member families. We hope that virtual hugs are wrapping around each mother, grand mother, great grand mother, mother's to be and their families.

25.01.2022 COVID-19 shutdown was an opportunity for new planting. Thanks to the support of Goulburn Broken CMA and the Drought Relief work program. We have over 300 new trees and shrubs planted, thanks to the great work of Sophie and Alan. If you want to check it out come play a game of golf - if you are not a member you will need to join (COVID-19 restriction) we have special COVID-19 three month memberships for locals living up to 20km from Nagambie and Metro Mate yearly rates for people living 100km from Nagambie. Both are $100.

25.01.2022 Weather today sunshine all the way! Perfect for a game of golf. Green fee players welcome however prebooking is essential.

24.01.2022 Stage 3 Restrictions Effective 11.59pm Wednesday 5th August Update 3rd August 2020 Any play at the club requires notification to the Club secretary and social distancing and face masks must adhered to. Other restrictions and requirements are below: Golf Operations Based on advice published on the DHHS website and verbal advice received from the Victorian Government, Golf Australia recommends that: ... Groups will be limited to two people unless they all reside in the same household. For the avoidance of doubt, groups of three or four will only be allowed if all members of the group reside in the same household. Club competitions must not be conducted, but handicapping of scores through non-contact means is allowed o GA has engaged in depth on this topic with the Victorian Government as competition golf is a key aspect of club/facility life across the state. It was confirmed to GA that competition golf is unable to be conducted under Stage 3 restrictions. Club/facility driving ranges, putting greens and chipping areas cannot operate unless a distance of at least 100 metres between groups of 2 can be maintained. No hire equipment, including golf clubs, pull buggies, golf carts or range balls may be made available for hire under any circumstances o Exception: Golf carts may be hired to a person who has a disability, or who is over the age of 65, or who can demonstrate that they require one due to having special needs. GA recommends that a medical certificate should be supplied to demonstrate these needs. (Note: players are permitted to bring and use their own cart, however the one person per cart limit applies.) A one person per cart limit, unless both riders live in the same household and both meet the criteria as listed above. Clubs/facilities are required to thoroughly clean the carts before and after each use. 1 to 1 coaching can continue in a non-contact, socially distanced setting Indoor coaching is not permitted If you are not doing exercise or a physical activity where you are out of breath or puffing then you must wear a face covering. You must carry a face covering with you and wear it before and after you exercise. Lots of limitations however golf is still able to be played. Maybe not today as the rain would cause most golfers to stay inside.

23.01.2022 Sorry for the delay with our broken website. It should be back up very soon. Please continue to contact us through facebook for any questions

21.01.2022 Some great points about golf in relation to pandemics: 1. Its already a social distancing sport, no contact, can be played alone and with 2020 new rules no need to even take the flag from the hole 2. Its outdoors and provides some "green time" for those who are self isolating 3. If you are new to golf, it can be a chance to put your mind to something other than COV19 as well as a good walk 4. without clubs then its a great place for a walk in open air and a place to listen to... nature instead of the 24/7 news cycle Keep safe and enjoy the sunshine today

20.01.2022 We're welcoming green fee players back on course! There is a phone booking requirement. Call the Ladies Captain on 0408349505. Provide your name, date & time of play as well as your contact number. Thanks for your patience & understanding of the changes

20.01.2022 Golf Australia has advised all Victorian Golf Clubs of the following: It is Golf Australia’s recommendation that, based on the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services directive issued as part of the Victorian Government’s Stage 2 restrictions regarding COVID-19, all golf clubs and facilities should close as soon as practicable until April 13, 2020. The directive that prohibits social sports gatherings applies to golf clubs and facilities, which are classified as ‘re...creational facilities’ under clause 5 of the directive. The Management Committee of Nagambie Golf Club care about our communities safety and have closed the course. Further revision of the closure will occur on April 13, or as directed by Golf Australia or the Victorian Government. Get out you WII and X-Box's for some virtual golf. Stay safe and see you some time in the future on course.

19.01.2022 Thanks Heathcote & District Community Bank Branch what a great idea and important way to support our local community groups: Assisting your community group through the current Covid-19 situation Dear community members,... As we all know, we are all now required to avoid meetings and gatherings as an important method of controlling the Covid-19 spread. The Heathcote and Nagambie Community Bank has set up a practical facility to allow your community group to still meet - but do it electronically and efficiently. What you have available now! 1. A service where you can set up a meeting at any time and all attendees can join online 2. They can do this on their smart phone, a tablet or a computer - provided they are connected to the internet or phone network 3. There is no cost to your community group - we are covering the service costs. Users should be aware they are using their own data allowances while connected 4. People in the meeting can see each other if they choose to use their camera, hear each other and share images from their screen - such a files, presentations, photos etc If your community group would like to utilise this free service please contact us.

19.01.2022 We are getting closer... You might want to consider to buy some gloves in anticipation? Below is an abstract from Golf Australia. We do hope their advocacy will come to fruition: "Having worked collaboratively with our clubs and other stakeholders, we are now comfortable to alter our position and encourage courses to open and for people to play. As well as social distancing, these safety protocols include keeping gloves on and not touching hands with playing partners, not s...haring carts, leaving flags in, reducing hole depth, greater times between groups, not exchanging cards, not using bunker rakes and maintaining personal hygiene. The ability to play currently does not apply to those in Victoria and the Northern Territory where golf remains prohibited under local laws. As ever, Golf Australia will continue constructive dialogue and advocacy for golfers with these governments. It is important to note that Golf Australia may again alter our position depending on the changing requirements of governments (Federal, state and territory) as the COVID-19 crisis unfolds. 19.01.2022 As the sun goes down and a heap of after work golfers finish their round we give a blessing to all the retired men and women who devote their volunteer time to mow and make the cause an absolute treat to play. The secret is out best day for golf is after the weekly volunteer grounds people have done their thing.

17.01.2022 Nagambie Golf club has reopened for members. Due to the many restrictions we are, at this time, not able to offer green fee play. We have developed a temporary membership that is available for people living with 20 km of the township. We are still offering our Metro Mates membership for people who live 100km or more from Nagambie. Full details will be added to our website and loaded as a separate post later today.

11.01.2022 The sun is out and bringing some energy and warmth. If you're a golfer and keen to make use of this bright day the course is open to members and local greenfee players. You MUST text the club secretary your name and tee off time. You can only play in groups of two. Happy hitting on this glorious day of sunshine

11.01.2022 The Chairman of Golf Australia, Andrew Newbold, said: The game of golf can offer a level of social engagement which will become increasingly important for many Australians. We want to do what we can to enable people to be provided with a recreational outlet, especially as concerns around mental and physical health will become more prominent. Temporary rules for clubs to set will also help to manage additional hygiene measures. NGC recommends leaving the flag in for all green shots.

10.01.2022 Sunshine with some early morning mist. A great way to start the day. I hope you are all making the most of time for some exercise out in the open. Nature has an ability to ground us all..... in more ways than one. Take care, keep up the good hygiene measures.
