20.01.2022 Hello All GVDRA Shooters. After the announcement today of changes to restrictions with COVID19, there are many shooters from the DRA who will be affected and won’t be able to participate in the planned pennant competition. As a result of this, the executive of the DRA has decided to suspend the pennant competition until further notice.... The decision to suspend, has been taken as there is still some hope, all be it small, that some more pennant shooting may be able to be completed this year. Richard GVDRA President.

17.01.2022 Following our AGM on 7/11/20, the committee remains the same as the previous year. The only change being Gary now being Vice Captain. 5 shooters then competed in the Goondiwindi Internet Shoot. Conditions were not ideal, with a strong and blustery southerly. Our scores reflected the conditions, but we still had fun competing. Well done Craig, despite the conditions, he shot well to come in 4th in FStandard A.... Results :https://www.results.nraa.com.au/goondiwindi-internet-shoo/ Well done to Goondiwindi RC for organising this event, It was great to be back competing again. See more

11.01.2022 Finally back out and competing in some competitions! A couple of wild weekends for weather has definitely given more than it’s fair share of challenges, but Nagambie has still had some great results. Last weekends Rosedale OPM saw some extreme wind but results as follows:... 500yd - Joe Melbourne 3rd F Open 800yd - Kevin Epps 1st F Std A 900yd - Kevin Epps 3rd F Std A Long Range Aggregate - Kevin Epps 2nd F Std A Two Day Aggregate - Kevin Epps 4th F Std A Very well shot by Kevin, given the 13 minutes of wind at 1000yd! This weekend was the VRA OPM and Champion of Champions. As always, Bendigo turned on the weather, with gale force winds and rain drawing the OPM to an early close and leaving many scratch their heads at the Champion of Champions. VRA OPM 600yd - Joe Melbourne 1st F Open Champion of Champions Target Rifle: Steve Falla F Std: Craig Weaire F Open: Joe Melbourne 600yd: Craig Weaire 1st F Std 700yd: Craig Weaire 1st F Std 2020 F Std Champion of Champions: Craig Weaire A huge result for Nagambie, congratulations to all!

10.01.2022 A bit of urgent maintenance, and the range is good to go again.

08.01.2022 Planning a practice shoot/working bee for Saturday, kicking off at 10am. Nothing too major, just a general tidy-up of outside areas. Come along and blow some rust out of the barrels. As always with the current pandemic, numbers are restricted to 10 and all safe measures are to be followed (mandatory masks, social distancing etc). Please let Josh Weaire know if you’re coming, so we can lock in numbers and keep ourselves compliant.

08.01.2022 Oops! The old target frames have seen better days. Water beats timber. The team at GV Security Fencing have whipped up a new batch of stands, including a third set to hold our third Hexta Target.

08.01.2022 Here are the results of last Saturday's pennant shoot. Top score for Nagambie was Craig with a max possible 180 with 18 centres. Karramomus had 3 target rifle shooters also shoot max possible scores.... Phil 150 with 20 centres, Peter 150 with 20 centres, Leigh 150 with 21 centres, Well done to all on such good shooting. Scores attached:

07.01.2022 A happy New Year to all, it's been busy down here at Warnambool shooting every day, Yesterday was the Port Campbell OPM. A well run shoot on a pretty seaside range. Joe took out 1st in F Open, with Kevin getting a 3rd in F Class A. Today is the "marathon" shoot, to finish off 5 days of shooting, 6 ranges in one day. Good shooting to Joe, we hope you continue your great form. Port Campbell results attached. https://www.results.nraa.com.au/port-campbell-rifle-club-r/

07.01.2022 Members please note: The range is currently closed for urgent maintenance, which will be carried out in the coming weeks. Please contact Craig or Joe before using the range.

05.01.2022 Some exciting news! Our third Hexta target has arrived. Now if only the weather would clear and the lockdown would end, we might be able to use it! Additionally, the new target trailer is coming along nicely and will be ready very soon. Stay safe and hopefully we will see you back on the range soon.

04.01.2022 A message from our President Craig. Shire of Mitchell & Metro Melbourne are now in Stage 3 lock down for six weeks. This will count out most of our Nagambie competition shooters, as well as members of other clubs.... This will knock Nagambie out of the balance of the Short-Range Pennant series. We are expecting an announcement from our DRA council as to what revised arrangements are put in place. Stay safe everyone.

02.01.2022 We dropped into our friends at Variety - the Children's Charity Victoria this morning, to present them with our donation from this weekends event. The total funds donated were $5,736.36. A huge thank you once again to everyone who helped make this possible.

02.01.2022 Nagambie RC travelled to Karramomus to contest the first round of our inter club pennant shoot versus Karramomus. The range was in picture perfect condition as 18 shooters made the most of ideal shooting conditions. High scores were the order of the day with many possibles being shot.... With 3 electronic targets in operation shooting progressed easily and quickly so all shooters were able to shoot in good light. Will post individual highlights when scores are processed but Karramomus pipped Nagambie for the win shooting 900 with 94 centres to Nagambie 900 with 89 centres. Very close and exciting competion. All agreed it was great to be back competing again. 11 July sees Nagambie at home versus East Central. A couple of photos attached.

Together, we raised a grand total of a little over $5,500 for Variety Victoria! This is a huge effort and is all thanks to each and every person who turned up on the day, purchased raffle tickets, participated in our charity auction and made donations at every turn. Thank you all so much for making this such a successful event. Now - the results you won't see on NRAA - our Charity Raffle! A huge congratulations to: 1st - Barnard P Action - Frank Dicerbio 2nd - KM Laminated Stock - Ross Jackson 3rd - Kreiger 30cal Barrel - Jason O'Rourke And in a huge display of charity, a special mention and huge thank you to Ross Jackson, who not only managed to pull his own ticket out for the raffle, but then proceeded to donate the stock back to be auctioned off, with all proceeds to Variety. Thank you Ross, this was an awesome gesture. Once again, we can't say thank you enough to our massive list of sponsors for this event. Your generosity allowed us to maximize our donation to Variety. Look forward to seeing you all at the next one!
