25.01.2022 Yet again - just as it gets closer to home time it is thundering and lightning here at school. If this is still the case at 3:00pm, all students will be kept under the school. Can I please ask parents that you take it in turns to drive down the driveway where your child/children will be escorted to your car. Please wait for each car to leave the driveway before the next one comes down. Your children’s safety is our priority.

25.01.2022 The Premier’s Reading Challenge is now complete. If you would like to receive your certificate in recognition of your reading please return your form to school ASAP. Thank you to those students who have already sent their forms back in.

22.01.2022 A special P&C meeting was held this afternoon. It was voted that we would not go ahead with the catering for the CCTR event in September. Thank you to everyone who expressed their opinions and concerns and to CCTR for their understanding.

22.01.2022 We had an amazing day with our friends from Builyan State School yesterday. The day started with our weekly parade and then we kicked things off with a full day of fun learning activities. Thank you Ellen from Life Education Queensland for bringing Healthy Harold to talk to the students about growing, nurturing and valuing friendships. Next Kristen from Gladstone Gymnastic Club had the kids tumbling and balancing. We also participated in sporting events such as ball games, sh...otput, discus, races and relays. Finally we received a gift from Gladstone Ports Corporation. All in all it was a wonderful day, thank you to all the staff that made sure the kids had fun, Nagoorin P&C for lunch and to Chappy Lisa and Lisa Huth Irving Lynch for joining in on the fun. A shout out to the mums who collected and organised the pies for delivery after our recent pie drive. Time to have a restful weekend so we can attack week 7 with as much energy as we can muster. All enquiries and booking should be sent to [email protected] or phone 07 3367 4714.

09.01.2022 This Friday, May 14th we are asking all students to wear a blue shirt to school in honour of our Do It For Dolly Day. Instead of bringing in a gold coin donation I encourage families to visit the website and donate to this worthy cause if you wish.

08.01.2022 Today was Day for Daniel and we acknowledged that by wearing red, we also discussed the different ways our bodies tell us that we are uncomfortable or that something isn’t right. We also talked about who we can turn to when we need to tell an adult. The students were great during our discussions and they each came up with 5 trusted adults. Well done everyone.
