25.01.2022 IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Nominations for the NAGS HYGAIN Dressage Championships are rolling in which is great to see we are looking forward to seeing you and your fur friends. Just a reminder to new and experienced riders to dressage to Please read/refresh the EA dressage rules. Although our champs are unofficial we run under these rules and dont want to have to say you cant ride because you have the wrong boots or gear etc, not to mention the judges can eliminate you if your ri...ding attire and gear is not legal. Its not nice for the rider and the organising committee to see this happen SO PLEASE READ THE EA rules. If you have any doubt you can contact us or call EA Qld directly looking forward to a great day and watching some great riding.

25.01.2022 Due to a cancellation we can use the indoor arena at Nambour on Saturday is anybody interested in joining me for a ride Madeline

24.01.2022 **UPDATE** Can every members pleas check you have received your AGM letter from nominate/secretary it was emailed. We need more members to join the AGM on the 7th December. To all our valued current and new members of NAGS,... Today you all would have received an email regarding our AGM and positions vacant for next year. There may be some of you that are experienced in the executive positions and some people who have never been involved in the back side of a club before. We are here to assure you its a lot of fun and a good way to keep up to date with what is going on in your club and events all over the place, no job is hard they just need enthusiastic persons and some time. There are many small jobs probably about 15 or so that are very easy to do also and if everyone just takes one on for the year it makes things run very smoothly with very little issues, its not scary and everyone is here to help each other out. All of the committee that are currently in place will still be apart of the club so we will assist in every way necessary to keep our great club running, all positions will be vacant at the end of the year at the AGM. So please take the time to read the email and have a think about how you can help your club as we don’t want the club to be in a Hiatus situation next year as it wont run itself, we can guarantee one thing if we don’t get members stepping up there will be no events to attend which would not be good for the club or the sport we all love. If you would like to call and have a chat about any positions and what they involve please contact either Nicolle Jolly, [email protected] or Sally Devlin [email protected], we would love to chat and encourage new faces on the committee. We recommend that you come along to the AGM where we can all enjoy a drink together and make 2021 a great year with our 4 legged friends and leave the very trying 2020 behind us Have a great week and look forward to seeing you at the AGM. NAGS Committee

23.01.2022 Hi Everyone As you are all well aware Nags has been unable to run any competitions so far for 2020 The first one was rained out and COVID-19 cancelled the rest. It is unlikely that we will be able to resume till August or beyond and that may change as we have no control over what is happening ... The Executive committee has made a decision that we will have : A combined 2020/2021 membership Which means that all of you who are current members will also be covered for 2021 Members who now join to be able to attend any possible future 2020 competitions will also get 2021 membership Hopefully we will all be a back out in the sand arenas before too long Madeline

22.01.2022 A couple of reminders for our championships on Sunday to help the event run smoothly: 1. It is your responsibility to supply your own Horse Health Declaration form. NAGs will not be responsible for supplying this for you. No form, no ride. Forms can be downloaded here: https://www.qld.equestrian.org.au//Biosecurity%20Horse%20H... 2. Children must be supervised at all times. The Gear Check tent and scoring room are not baby-sitting services. 3. No dogs near arenas, warm up areas or at gear check. Any dogs on the grounds MUST be on at lead at all times. 4. Gear check must be done before each test. 5. Absoutely no lunging in the warm up areas. Please ensure you read the event draw and know your job :) The committee has worked hard to put this event on for you - please don't make us grumpy ;)

21.01.2022 Copied from Victoria dressage group. Something for you to be aware of and consider. Get involved and make a suggestion. Doesnt have to be the whole structure. Just parts that are important to you. Let us know and we can pass it on. To date its been very ugly and not inclusive due to the tone and harassment by some but we need to speak up and have a say. Comments, suggestion, whats important to you, all welcome. Cheers Sally . By now all of you would be aware of...Continue reading

06.01.2022 *****UPDATE ***** Everything is now cancelled for at least four weeks Hi all, ... The committee have been chatting and we are going to go ahead with the event this Sunday. Dot points are easier, so here goes; - If you are feeling unwell at all, please do not come (common sense but needs to be stated) - If you are not feeling comfortable to come, please contact us directly - Judges will not have pencillors. They will be scoring your tests and providing end comments only. This is to avoid having pencillors in cars. - We will be encouraging the 2m distance proviso so will not have a group presentation in the scout hall at the end of the day. Tests will be available for collection, or can be emailed to you if you wish. Ribbons will be attached to test sheets (the person doing this will use hand sanitiser whilst completing the process). - We may or may not have a caterer; we have contacted her and just waiting for a response. - Please be sensible and practice good hygiene Draw will be out by mid-week Any questions, please get in touch!
