16.01.2022 Have just watched the latest update for Allied Health and Podiatry. We are here to ensure the health and wellbeing of our clients and community. We will be closed for the Easter break and reopening Tuesday 14th April 2020. Wishing all my patients a peaceful and healthy Easter.
15.01.2022 Beautiful day to head into the city to speak to the 3rd year Podiatry students as part of their Orientation week. When I introduce myself and say its 30 years ago since I started my Podiatry life as a first year student and it was the South Australian Institute of Technology.
14.01.2022 I’d probably say to my patients that if you’ve got chillblains on your fingers & toes, don’t go running pre dawn when it’s 4 degrees................. for now I’m putting up with the chillblains
12.01.2022 Saturdays are becoming popular, I dont work every Saturday but do so by appointment. Ask if it suits you better to attend on a Saturday
11.01.2022 The winter weather is here and so are my cold feet ! Here is a share from SA health on using hot water bottles and heat packs safely over winter. In my career Ive seen many severe burns on feet from these hot water bottles, heat packs, heated foot spas, falling asleep in front of gas fires, open fires and radiators.

08.01.2022 Today, I organised a Half Marathon ! Great way to finish off the decade celebrating what running has meant to me over the past 10 years. Searing heat this morning so needed to be super careful with pace & hydration and watch out for each other. So lovely to organise a pure Fun run ! No entry fees, home made medals all about fitness & friendships

08.01.2022 Huge congratulations to @southaustralianroadrunners for hosting the 2020 Adelaide Marathon Festival, feeling very grateful for being able to participate in my 10th consecutive year as a runner. Massive kudos to all the volunteers, particularly those ladies who scored the job of sanitising the portaloo door handles in between each use ! It was a tad warm and a tad windy and Im strangely disappointed with myself that my endurance died at 19km and the last hill up Morphett street felt like Mount Everest, but overall a good run, according to Strava my 3rd fastest half on record, Im pretty sure my PB and the second fastest were back in 2013, so its been a while in between. Happy with the shoes, they did well.

05.01.2022 You can’t quite see it in this photo but I’m sitting out the front eating my dinner on my lap while listening / watching a webinar on problematic ingrowing toenails, and my friend Comet here is eyeing off my dinner like he is going to eat my feet if I don’t give him some

05.01.2022 Beautiful morning for a run this photo was taken less than a kilometre from the central business area of Adelaide in the South Parklands, how lucky are we to have a city surrounded by parklands to enjoy
04.01.2022 Did you know that in Australia, a whopping $4 million is spent each and every day managing diabetes-related foot disease? But did you also know that currently, ...diabetes-related foot disease receives less than 0.2% of Australian diabetes research funding? This is where we need your help. Weve launched a national survey to find out the big foot questions that should be answered by research. https://www.diabeticfootaustralia.org/australian-research-/ The Round One Survey is now open and wed like to find out your big foot questions based on your own experiences. All questions are important, no questions are wrong, and questions can be as simple or complex as youd like. And could include topics from living with diabetes-related foot disease, assessment, diagnosis, to treatment of diabetes-related foot disease - its completely up to you. So grab yourself a cuppa, and take a few minutes to have your valuable say in the August online survey. So we can build the national top ten research priorities for the "Australian Research Agenda for diabetes-related foot health and disease". And also work towards improving that 0.2% funding diabetes-related foot disease currently receives.
