24.01.2022 A huge thankyou to the kitchen crew last night (and every Thursday night), pumping out over 100 meals in just over 2 hours Jimmy and his team never disappoint with the biggest schnitzels, juiciest steaks and the hamburgers with the lot and who can beat a $5 kids meal. So huge Thankyou to the entire May family incl Ruby, Mrs Jonas, Sue and anyone else I've missed! We love the food and your dedication to our club. And great work and thanks to Sam who tirelessly stands behind the bar and keeps everyone hydrated and under control each and every Thursday night. Top job Pres

24.01.2022 Great effort from our T20 team to come within 14 runs of LCCC. Unfortunately a few early wickets didn't help but hats off to the tail end who "almost" wagged enough! Now to focus on the remainder of the long season.

22.01.2022 C Grade Report; Nairne 6/89 defeated Lobethal 7/88 C grade made the trip to Lobethal this week, We had a late out with L Walker breaking a nail, young H Davey was included to the squad. Another won toss and we sent them in to bat. A slow outfield resulted in us only giving away one boundary for the day. Big Fernando Millard got us off to a great start. T Bedding on debut was lightening, also claiming two catches. But the bowling was dominated by our young guns this week, O Sp...arrow 1/10, H Davey 0/7, and J Lucas picking up 2/10 unlucky to not get his 3rd. C Downey finishing off with 2/9 at the death. Again the slow outfield played its part, with us only finding the boundary 3 times, twice by young K Willis (scottys offspring keeping our club afloat). With some good running and a well played innings by our skipper J Walker we made the runs with 8 overs to spare. Although every batter can expect a fine for Extras being our top scorer with 29. C Downey 2/9 J Lucas 2/10 Extras 29 J Walker 18* K Willis 15

20.01.2022 A long time sponsor and one that has helped us out time and time again. Our new nets would not have been possible without the generosity of the The Nairne Market. They open again next Thursday 4th February with some awesome specials so pop in on your way to training and grab a bargain or 3! Thankyou to all the volunteers that make this space a special place to visit in our amazing little town.

15.01.2022 Cast back to 2018/19 season and our trusty ex president and current treasurer and committee embarked on a journey to get us a new set of nets through the SACA community Infrastructure Fund. Well it took a pretty hefty application process and planning, a fair bit of time, a lot of help and a few dollars but we can now say they are ready for use! Our club now has SEVEN nets for use each and every week! How lucky are we They wouldn't have been possible without the help of a fa...ir few companies and individuals. If you see any of these awesome humans please give them a wave and say thanks: The Nairne Market Paul jolly earthmoving pty ltd AHLG Adelaide Advanced Nets and Ropes Barker Haulage Anthony Clarke and family Sam Morgan Richard Boscence And there was a hoard of other human hours volunteered for a free sausage when requested so Thankyou to each and every one of you also!

13.01.2022 NAIRNE CRICKET CLUB - 2020/2021 SEASON PREVIEW This year we've asked all club to send through a short video to preview the 2020/2021 season. First up, we'll be hearing from the captain of the Nairne Cricket Club, Luke Timmins.

13.01.2022 Exciting season ahead! We are so lucky at NCC to have some amazing coaches. Kent Llewellyn, 2019/20 Community coach of the year, is back on board in a new role as our Junior Club Coach and will be assisting all season. This role with compliment the work that Jarrad will be doing with the seniors. Chad is returning as a premiership coach, after 1 season coaching the u16s he is looking forward to steering this new bunch of lads in the same direction. Brodie Clarke is taking... on a brand new role, coach of the u14s. His talent and attitude to cricket far exceeds his age and we are excited to have him mentor our talented U14 squad. And Taras returns as coach of the U12s. His skill set and knowledge of the game will be passed onto this group of boys and set them up for the coming years. How lucky are we!! Still on the look out for someone to guide our u10 group. With all this support from above it will be an exciting position to hold. Let us know if you have any interest. Go Razorbacks......

11.01.2022 Fingers crossed it will only be for 2 weeks! Keep up the home training schedule and we will hopefully be back on the field soon doing what Razorbacks do best!

11.01.2022 A Grade Twenty 20 vs Lenswood Ranges Cricket Club. Nairne lost the toss and Ranges decided to take the bat to set us a target. After 20 overs they posted 4/114. Matt Hein the pick of the bowlers with 2/20 off 4. Robbie Crook opened for the Razorbacks posting 4x4s and 4x6s for a handy total of 52no, very well supported by captain Luke Timmins with 48no (6x4s, 1x6) Nairne with a comfortable win in the 12th over in slightly damp conditions.... We now take on Meadows next Thursday at 5pm at Nairne Oval. All welcome to join in the excitement of T20 cricket! See more

07.01.2022 A2 Report: Nairne 6/212 Def Woodside 200 The Jacob Sadler Report The A2’s had 2nd placed woodside on their home deck. We finally got some good weather so there were no excuses this week. Winning the toss and batting first we needed to get off to a better start than last week’s 5/15. Faz and Trai got us off to a flyer before losing Trai with the score of 55. Faz continued his clinic getting us to 1/100 at the break. Hitting bombs into the trees and carpark, he came off nicknam...ing himself lift off. Woodside came out strong taking 3/34 off the next 12 overs but Bayden and Sadler put on 70 off the next 40 balls to propel the total over 200, Bayden finishing 61 not out. Jack May opened the bowling very well again but at drinks Woodside were hanging around with the score 4/90. After drinks, with some very ordinary fielding, (Scott Willis dropped an absolute dolly before grabbing at his groin as an excuse, leaving himself strawberry red in the face) M Johnston and B Druwitt pushed the score to 4/187. Only needing 26 to win, Tom Watkins came on and bowled extremely well, claiming 4/3 off the last 2 overs to bowl Woodside out for 200 and claiming us victory. Loby next week lads! Let’s practice some catching!! See more

07.01.2022 We have pitches..... Huge thanks to the Nairne oval committee for their help with this. Namely BJ, Lyall Strout, Bloomers & Mike Pfeiffer. And of course our A grade captain Luke and AHLG! Looks good for a few memorable 100s this season!

07.01.2022 Nairne CC host Lenswood Ranges Cricket Club 5pm tomorrow. Bar and Kitchen open. ALL WELCOME

05.01.2022 See you all soon!

04.01.2022 Junior scoreboard; U16's won the toss and chose to bat at Hahndorf. Once again Zac Llewellyn quickly reached his retirement score of 60no off 51 balls. Another disciplined knock from him, well supported by Dylan Getenbeek 33 off 30, Kade Willis 24 and Simonas Wigzell with his top score of 21. The lads finished with 9/194 to defend next week. U14s lost the toss and were sent in to bat. A change of the batting order saw Nate Willis come in at 3 and posted his 1st 50no (lucki...ly we were able to do a few running repairs on his broken bat). Supported by Seb Morgan 23 and Harley Barker 18. A bit of work to be done on running between the wickets more confidently but a great tussle to end the 40 overs on 8/185 giving Lenswood a target to chase next week. U10s - Wistow 109, Nairne 94. Our best players were Cody Cragg and Rhys Batge. All had fun

03.01.2022 A2 Report: The Hammy report The A2 lads had Lobethal on our own stomping ground. Losing the toss we were sent into bowl. Have to give it to the boys, our bowling and fielding was pretty damn good, bowling out lobethal for 95, Matt Sowden with some great fielding leaving the batsman in sniffles as well as Tom Watkins taking 2/13 off 7, Ryan Williams taking 3/11 off 6.3 and Jacob Sadler taking 2/8 off 6, it was like they had a candle under them, on an absolute heater, putting ...on a show for the lobethal boys on the hill which I’m pretty sure was there for Jacky May’s immaculate chat in the field. Coming into bat, Bayden and Trai Willis getting us to a quick start and looked like they were going to finish the game off but soon after we had a batting collapse getting bowled out for 89, no special talent from lobethals blowing attack but they put enough good balls in the right areas which apparently took wickets, never the less the boys will use this loss as a turning point to work hard in the nets. Jack May has nominated Ryan Williams for the joke next time we playing See more

02.01.2022 Now that hills footy is finished, let's get some action happening today in the nets! Juniors u10-u16 10am Seniors 11am

01.01.2022 Hope the cricket withdrawal symptoms are not too bad! 01.01.2022 We have just received an update from the AEHCA.... Here is the main points: Thank you for your cooperation and understanding over the past couple of weeks while we've had to temporarily put the season on hold. The advice we've received is that matches and training will be able to resume from next Tuesday 1 December. (Yay ) ... The Executive Committee met last night and made the following decisions: All senior grade matches that were scheduled to be played on 21 and 28 November have been abandoned and the premiership points will be shared between the teams. The junior matches that were scheduled to be completed on 21 November will be a draw. The junior matches that were scheduled to commence on 28 November will be played as T20 matches on Saturday 5 December. Our A grade T20 will hopefully be rescheduled. More info soon. So keep up the ball skills at home for a bit longer and we will see you all back out next Thursday 3rd December

01.01.2022 B Grade review: The B Grade hosted Bremer Callington down at Nairne Small. Losing the toss we were sent in to bat. Sam Morgan for the first time this year got out early for just 2. The other opener Rees Williams after volunteering to open had a well fought 30 before falling just before drinks. Tarasenko with a handy 39 fell shortly after. The boys were 4/98 at drinks. Duncan Rogers took no time to get his eye hitting a 6 and a 4 of his first two balls. This escalated to Dunc...an’s first ever 50 and a great knock of 70 getting the boys back on track. Luke Rayner smashing 43 down the bottom of the order, a big improvement on his previous high score of 14. Carpenter with a 21 runs and the young boys managed to get a defendable total of 240. Bremer Callington came out seeing them well ahead at 3/155 at drinks. However an amazing spell from D Rogers taking 5/38 off 8 to back up his 70 stopped the flow of runs. Z Pattinson and R Whitehead both with 2 each, Carpenter with 1 and Sam Morgan with 4 catches after taking the gloves after drinks. Bremer Callington feel 38 runs short of the total and The B Grade get there first win of the season.

01.01.2022 C Grade Report: Nairne. 8/206 Def Macclesfield 111 Nairne C grade hosted Macclesfield this week, with another late showing from the fearless leader A Clarke won yet another toss and put us in to bat, that’s where clarkeys form for the day ended, a top order collapse had us 5/51 with our two big left arm bowlers steadying the ship. M Perkins threw his wicket away on 49 while big Leroy went on to make 72*. Some pinch hitting at the end got us to 8/206.... All the bowlers chipped in with two wickets a piece, we won’t mention clarkeys form with the ball. tight bowling from L Walker and L Millard got us off to a good start with quality catching from A Clarke in gully, the hot heads of M Perkins and P Bradshaw on return made sure we were always ontop. S Counihan while deserving a mention was too humble to write about himself this week. Nairne 8/206 defeated Maccy 10/111 L Millard 72* M Perkins 49 S Counihan 2/2 L Millard 2/12
