11.01.2022 One of the biggest draw backs with a standard V-Belt drive is the need to constantly check the tension of the belt to make sure it is operating at optimum performance. In order to do this, you must stop the machine, remove the guard, check the tension and then put the guard back on before you can start the machine again. Depending on the machine this could take 20 40 minutes and the check will need to be performed every 4 weeks or so. While this task can be performed during scheduled maintenance breaks, it will still consume a lot of your maintenance budget if you have a lot of belts to check. What if I told you there was a belt that you could install, let it run for an hour, check the tension and then never have to check it again. 08.01.2022 VIB are mechanical components that exploit the elastic deformation of four natural rubber cylinders that are inserted between two hollow sections positioned 45 one to the other. The maximum rotational angle is 30 from the neutral position. The VIB mounts use the VIB base elements as foundation and have been developed for various typical applications. 06.01.2022 This spacer coupling is based on the standard Straight Jaw type coupling. The center 'dropout' section of this coupling provides shaft separation while also allowing easy elastomer installation without disturbing the hubs or requiring realignment of shafts. Designed for the pump industry, it accommodates metric standard pump/motor shaft separations. The 'drop out' spacer is made of aluminium. 05.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that Naismith Engineering has now expanded its range of Universal joints from Mario Ferri to include Stainless Steel Uni Joints. Made from 304 Stainless Steel to give you high Anti Corrosion resistance for applications in corrosive environments or applications exposed to damp or wash down conditions. These universal joints have the same operating characteristics as the standard Mario Ferri universal joints.
