13.01.2022 Exams??? That was so yesterday!! Come join us down at Brisbane City Botanical Gardens for a picnic day to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the winter holiday. Just bring down some lunch and Nakama will provide the snacks. Let's celebrate. Do remember to wear something warm and pastel! The theme will be based on Japan's Himeji Yukata festival. A festival based at Himeji Castle, Hygo prefecture that dates back 260 years. A day to enjoy food and some light entertainment with t...he company of close friends. What: "Himeji Yukata" Nakama's picnic day When: 21 June 2021, 11pm - 1pm Where: Brisbane City Botanics Garden City (147 Alice St, Brisbane City QLD 4000) Cost: $2 Dress code: pastel coloured clothes (if possible) Disclaimers and health rules: 1. We discourage people with any kind of illness symptoms to attend the event. This is a precautionary measure to protect all attendees. 2. To protect those that are most vulnerable, we advise you to carefully consider attending this event if you work or live around children, elderly people or people with any kind of illness. 3. Hand sanitiser will be provided by us and you are encouraged to use them prior to seating. 4. Individuals required to be under self quarantine or self isolation are not permitted to attend this event. 5. This year we are very happy to inform you that the NAKAMA Japan Society has been awarded Cultural Club of the Year!! Special thanks to you our Club members who have supported us throughout this year which was full of big changes due to COVID-19. Thank you so much for spending time with us and we hope that yo...u have enjoyed our events throughout this year!! We are inviting you to join us in a collaboration event with Vietnamese Student Association, Chinese Student Support Association, Indonesian Student Association and NAKAMA. A celebration of different cultures and to mark the end of another amazing trimester. Food and drinks provided so bring a friend or two for a night to remember. When: 24th June (6:30pm - 10pm)... Where: Cloudland, 641 Ann St, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006 Price: $25 for all members and non-members Attire: Formal Sign up for the event via our Campus Groups page! Disclaimers and Health rules: 1. We would encourage people with symptoms of illness not to attend the event.
