24.01.2022 Hi guys ! Hope youre all doing well. This post is to let everyone know that our DT Panels x Nakama Workshop team will be taking a two week hiatus for Easter, starting from next Saturday the 13th, until Monday the 28th. Due to the break and a lengthy backlog, we will not be taking in jobs from now until the middle of May. Also please take into consideration that we will be fairly busy before the Black Label Invitational event. 23.01.2022 We love it when customers try something different ! When Andy mentioned he wanted colour code his OEM hardtop to his wheels we were a little unsure. But as you can see it came up a treat ! Andy has been bringing his S2000 to us since ownership and has always taken our advice on board. Weve done a lot of work to his driveline including a refreshed engine and gearbox and the result is one of the smoothest driving S2000s on the road today. 22.01.2022 Jings S2000 in for a vinyl roof swap and service ! We supplied and fitted a Robbins soft top from the US with heated glass. Robbins tops are known to be the closest to OEM quality and fitment. If your roof is looking a bit tired and worn feel free to message us for a quote.

13.01.2022 The diff bushes on the CT9A Evos are very prone to collapsing, resulting in a lot of movement in the driveline. If you have some excessive clunkiness when shifting gears in your Evo these are a likely culprit. Ralliart have a revised version of the diff bushes which are much more solid. Message us if you think you need yours replaced !

10.01.2022 Hello citizens of Facebook ! We hope you are all staying safe during these uncertain times. With Stage 4 restrictions now in place, we would like to reassure all our customers that our workshop is considered essential and will remain open throughout the lockdown.... To align with the new restrictions, we are open by appointment only. We ask that you do not drop in unannounced for the next 6 weeks at least, and for those who do have bookings, sanitise upon arrival. (And definitely do not visit if you are feeling unwell.) If you already have a booking and are worried about the 5km radius rule we can send you an SMS / proof of booking upon request so you can feel confident travelling to our workshop. As a side note, our panel side is still very much booked out, and we will endeavour to work through the backlog before taking in new bookings. Our mechanical side is fairly busy also, but you can still make bookings via our inbox ! As always, we appreciate your patience and understanding, not just through the COVID situation, but throughout the last 15 years, and hopefully the next 15 years. 09.01.2022 Split engine mounts on S2000s are such a common problem, given most are creeping up to 20 years old now. All those vibrations that cause your interior panels to rattle could be caused by this. If you think your car is vibrating more than it should, book in with us for a diagnosis. We keep a ton of brand new OEM parts on hand for the S2000.

07.01.2022 The definition of a project snowballing. After his F20C called it quits Ben Johnson brought his S2000 in for the engine to be removed and replaced. Then he decided it was a good time to have the engine bay freshened up. Then he wanted to address a few other issues on the body. And now were here - a full tear down overhaul. Lol. Its not too well known, but Ben was actually the first inducted member of Nakama way back in 2013. Even after a lot of our core members moved onto something else Ben has been flying our flag track day after track day. Since the workshop opened he has given as much support as he can, and now were happy we can give him something back. Thanks Ben !

03.01.2022 The Nakama S2000 bolt in rollcages are ready to order ! We did an initial group buy of 10 cages last month and we were really happy with how they turned out, so we are offering them permanently. Our cages are all CAMS compliant and come with paperwork for you to register it with CAMS. The basic rollcage features a 44.45mm main hoop, back stays, a harness bar and a single diagonal. You can then add on a bunch of features, such as an extra diagonal for symmetry and added stren...gth, eye bolt sleeves to easily clip in your harnesses, if you want to retain your standard seat belt mounting positions we can add provisions for those too. We can also powdercoat it in matte black, or paint it any colour you like. They are designed to sit as high as possible without losing the functionality of your soft top. However you will lose your secret compartment. We did make up two extra cages in the first group buy which are available to purchase, otherwise feel free to drop us a message if youd like to order one specific to your needs !
