Not only should the increase in inductions for no clear medical reason shock people, but also the longer term health outcomes on the babies who are induces. . Inductions are not benign but most women feel they are not fully informed of the risks . . It really is time we got back to only preforming inductions when the risks of continuing a pregnancy outweigh the risks of the actual induction process. .
