18.01.2022 Welcome back to our 99 parkrunners and 12 volunteers who embraced our relaunch with enthusiasm. It was an exciting morning and thanks to everyone for working with us under the new framework, you all made it very easy for the event team. It was absolutely fantastic to have our new state MP Robert Skelton MP for Nicklin and our local Councillor David Law join us & throw their support behind our parkrun community in Nambour. Special welcome to our 14 first timers, well done on y...our first parkrun at Nambour, we bet you found it very easy. Congrats to those 12 of you who must have been training during lockdown and achieved pbs on a hot day. We heard Fluffy was lurking in the bushes watching the proceedings, but he didn't join in the fun this morning and was just happy to spectate. As always thanks to our amazing volunteers this morning Alan, Andrew, Barbara, Charmaine, Cheryl, Gary, Jason, Kevin, Mel, Mick, Sonya and Trevor. 10.01.2022 We are really thrilled to welcome you back to Nambour parkrun this Saturday at 6.45am. A couple *REALLY IMPORTANT* changes for our participants to be aware of: BYO Water . It is HOT and HUMID. You will need it, even if at the end in your car ... Take care of your valuables. We cannot keep your keys on your behalf. There will be no key bucket. Scan the QR code before you run. So we can help keep our community safe in the event of an outbreak. No contact barcode scanning. Please take your time and follow directions of our volunteers to have your barcode scanned. Respect each other by taking note of the 10 guidelines attached here. We've been waiting all year to gather with our community again under the parkrun banner each Saturday. It has taken a LOT of administration, time & understanding for parkrun to be brought back. We encourage everyone to comply with the new guidelines to ensure the continuation and safe operation of parkrun in Queensland. We look forward to a safe, fun & friendly parkrun with you all this Saturday! See you at 6.45am and don't forget your barcode!

09.01.2022 What a morning!! We had 75 finishers today and welcomed 15 first timers. 2 people managed to achieve PBs on Plan B. On top of our little incident we had an issue with results processing. There may be a couple of times missing, so if you notice your time missing please send us a quick message with your name, barcode number & position number and we can rectify it easily. Thank you so much to all those who assisted in the extraction of the injured parkrunner and those who stop...ped to see if any assistance was required. The runner was safely extracted & is ok. Great work from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services - QFES & Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS), they do an amazing job & also our volunteers for co-ordinating the extraction & those who kept the event running smoothly while all this was happening.
