23.01.2022 Another Macho Hombre x Star Appeal seedling out today. I quite like the dusky pink colour but still nothing terribly exciting about it.
20.01.2022 This is one of my Black Suited x seedlings. Unfortunately I lost the tag and I don’t know what it was pollinated with. But I really love it. It’s utterly striking and the photos don’t do it justice. Might not be any kind of astounding show winner but it’s just so pretty!

15.01.2022 ALL GONE! Free! No ID tall bearded iris rhizomes x 100+ Pick up Maffra, help yourself, in a wheelbarrow by the side gate.... As many of you may be aware I am remodelling a couple of garden beds. As a result I have a few hundred rhizomes to rehome and I can’t bear to put them in the compost. All named varieties, some expensive ones amongst them, but not identified individually so will be a bit of a lucky dip. Happy to help you ID them when they flower. Take as many or as few as you like, PM for address or just pop by if you know where I live.
13.01.2022 Finally, a few of these pretties are popping out to say hello after much anticipation. Most of them were shifted earlier in the year so it will be a quiet bloom season, but still exciting to see those that flower. This is Coal Face (Grosvenor 2008).

11.01.2022 Around 100 rhizomes have headed off or are on their way to their new homes over the last week! Thank you to everybody who has purchased them, I hope they arrive in good condition and you enjoy your beautiful new additions. 01.01.2022 Well, that’s a wrap! The last iris rhizomes went off to their new homes last night and the ones I’ve kept have all been replanted and watered in. Just as a heads up, the two irises below (Imogen Paige - Left and Louisa’s Song - Right) will be getting divided in January/February (once their seed pods are ready for harvesting) if anybody is interested in one. Imogen Paige is one of my all time favourites. Incredibly vigorous and magnificent Derwent pencil-drawing plicata pattern.
