24.01.2022 **LONG JUMP IDEA** Jump from the hoop to land with a foot on each dot. Helps to teach the preferred foot positioning, and that each foot should come down at the same time to make "one noise".

11.01.2022 This is how we set up long jump for the Under 6s at Little Athletics last night. No measuring or recording. Two jumping at once. Each child got about 15 jumps o...ff a short run rather than the traditional 3 had we been measuring. Kids and parents loved it. We need to think outside the competition model. See more

11.01.2022 One of my favourite "inventions". Pool noodle plus mini hurdles = introductory scissors high jump activity. Just the right height to teach beginners a basic scissors high jump action.

01.01.2022 Try this "Tidy Up" running game. Pop-up garden bin in the middle of the playing area surrounded by cones. Kids work together to pick up and put cones in the bin. Can only carry one cone at a time. Time the activity to see how long it takes. Lots of running, agility', cooperation and fun.
