A big weekend of rescues on our NSW beaches with 132 across the three day weekend and ...no doubt thousands of preventative actions. Thank you to all who braved the weather and in some places, the treacherous conditions to keep eyes on the water. 18.01.2022 Graham started his distinguished career in surf lifesaving as a Nipper parent at Bronte in 1985. Gaining his bronze medallion in 1992, he has maintained a 100% ...patrol record at Bronte for over 28 years. Graham was recognised at Branch level as both Volunteer of the Year and Member of the Year. He was further recognised at State level as Volunteer of the year in 2006. Our club is your club. As surf clubs re-open around the country for the warmer months after what has been a very challenging year, we’re encouraging new and old members to join our clubs, said SLSA President Graham Ford AM. There is a place for everyone at the surf club and everyone is welcome, he added. There are a variety of roles both on and away from the beach for those who wish to volunteer, or our clubs are simply a place to gather and join with others, at the heart of local communities." Australian Surf Life Saving Clubs are hubs for the community and deliver more than just an on-beach safety service but offer training, education, recreation, a place to socialise and give people a sense of purpose and belonging.
