25.01.2022 Morning routines
24.01.2022 Having a slow day today and grateful to have @tracylspaldingart in the shop today. She’s still got spots for adult classes at 10.30am & 6pm Thursdays so book in online or instore. I will also start a 5 week Hello Watercolour class for the absolute beginner from March on Mondays and Tuesday mornings at 11am. Bookings will open soon. For today i intend to play with colours, draw, attend zumba and take the Great Circle Bus and see where it takes me. ... How’s your day shaping up?

15.01.2022 Starting a business from scratch is a tough gig, add being a single mum some of the time to the mix, also add recovery from grief and depression in the mix, and you get a lot of unexpected consequences out the other end: inability to switch off after work and little emotional energy to be the mom I want to be, guilt because many nights I haven’t had the energy to get into the kitchen and make a healthy meal, sadness and anxiety that pops by unexpectedly and makes things a lit...tle more tricky, low supply of patience for kids who have been waiting all day for you to come home so they can unload on you- as they should...the list is long... But everyday I am healing and finding parts of my heart that have healed or rebuilt to something even better, I am gaining more confidence to make new decisions and learning to trust God and life again such that I can slowly learn to dream how I want business and family life to be and take small steps towards making that happen. When you’ve suddenly lost something as significant as a marriage out of the blue and the dreams that go with that , to trust enough to dream again and rebuild something that could again be lost takes bravery. I have recently invited my girls for my morning tea time and I find they’re lapping up the attention and the tea . I’m fresh and more patient and I’m loving learning to keep doing life with them in the changing seasons of life. Here’s to lots more tea with them and in fact dropping in to tea with each of them when I’m old and gray and even more eclectic!
