25.01.2022 Self-care. What’s yours? I talk to people about self-care ALL THE TIME. And this is what I hear:... I don’t know what I like anymore. A bit of self-care doesn’t have to mean having a bubble bath with candles burning, essential oils diffusing and soft music drifting you off to sleep in a quiet kid-free house. (Sounds good though!) It can be sitting out in the grass for a lunch picnic. Calling your bestie for a chat whilst doing school pickup. Having a play date with someone who needs a bit of help. A meandering walk around the block (even when it feels like all you have the energy for is collapsing on the sofa for 5 minutes). If we reframe it as a daily practice - rather than a rare bit of alone time we need to carve out for ourselves - maybe we’ll get more of it, more easily...?
