20.01.2022 My top word of 2020? ABUNDANCE It is perhaps a strange word to choose in a year of such chaos and uncertainty but it is right in the middle of our family vision board! It has been our main goal and focus in 2020 and it continues to manifest in so many ways! For us, abundance means not only an abundance of money/career success, but also happiness, love, health and TIME. The ultimate goal is a balance of all of these things(and if I was going to choose a second word... of the year, BALANCE would be it!) How are we going with all of those things? Actually not too bad! In the last few months I have started booking in non-negotiable down time into my diary and it has been an absolute game changer for me! I've also started planning a system to make our regular play set ups super easy and quick, and we are looking into outsourcing some household tasks so we can spend more time together as a family. The biggest thing we are learning is to not put a 'ceiling' on what is possible in our life. We are learning to ignore limits and pave our own way forward - and I can't wait to see what 2021 brings! What is one word that sums up 2020 for you? See more

09.01.2022 Have you heard of the 'abundance theory?' I stumbled upon it last year and it completely changed the way I viewed this venture of ours. One of the most challenging things for me was always looking at the amazing 'competition' all over Instagram - so many wonderful products, so many followers, so many beautiful feeds, so much success. It would lead me down a rabbit hole of despair and unworthiness. The abundance theory encouraged a simple change in perspective. It ...states that there is MORE than enough success for EVERYONE! Always more customers, more money, more opportunities - limited only by your own thoughts and expectations. I learnt to stop using the success of others as a measure of my own inadequacy and to celebrate that success instead! With that in mind, here are some accounts that I am loving following right now: @thelittlegoodiebag - sugar free, sensory play based party favours @biglittlefeelings - THE place to go to for positive parenting tips (and their reels are some serious inspiration for me right now) @make_like_mimi - our savior for easy craft last month @kidslovetocook - a new friend who has some wonderful easy recipes for the kids to join in with! @speechwithalextrichilo - my favourite speechie to follow on Instagram! And of course a shout out to my wonderful brand reps @miles.and.noah_ and @ncmummabird - both accounts are definitely worth a follow! Tell me, what's one of your favourite accounts to follow right now? See more

07.01.2022 Goodbye 2020, you are almost done! What a year, hey? I know it has been a TOUGH one and so many people are keen to see the back of it! It certainly hasn't been without challenges for us but it has also been full of so many positives! Early this year, Mum and I decided that we'd like to try our hand at creating sensory play kits - and so began MONTHS of research, upskilling, legal requirements, brand development and product creation. Late July we finally launched ...our website and crossed our fingers that somebody out there would resonate with our little project. We have celebrated every single order since and have been so grateful to have received plenty of them! My favourite part though? Seeing the photos and videos of your little ones lighting up with joy when playing with our kits - it really does make all the hours worth it! To ALL of you who have supported us through the beginning of our business journey, THANK YOU so much! That includes not only those who have purchased from us, but also everyone who has liked or commented on our posts, messaged me or offered general parenting supporting and words of encouragement. Every little bit counts more than you know! And now the year is done and we start to look to all that is ahead of us! Tell me, what are you most looking forward to in 2021? See more

07.01.2022 Messy play is always an interesting topic. Some people LOVE it and some people can't stand the thought. It really does have so many benefits though, including building some wonderful nerve connections! It also helps encourage our little one's creativity and imagination, promotes language and fine motor skills and fosters some fabulous problem solving and exploration. (Important note: messy play DOESN'T have to mean a messy house - more on that soon!) ... Messy play generally fits in two categories - play with dry ingredients (like in this photo) or wet ingredients (like water, oobleck, bicarb/vinegar). What type of messy play do you prefer? Wet or dry (or none at all!)?? @ncmummabird See more

06.01.2022 Happy 2021 everyone! Everyone has been posting their 'Top 9' recently and I thought I'd have a peak at our insights and see if I could see some trends Firstly, you love the studio flat lays of our kits (because they DO look so pretty - I love looking at them too!). You also love it when I share speech & language tips (which I've heard loud and clear - plenty more of that coming your way!) But the other thing that always gets LOTS of engagement? Sharing quotes abo...ut motherhood. To me it shows that Instagram really can be the most wonderful place to find your tribe, to laugh and groan together and to be assured that so many others are going through the EXACT same thing Scroll through to see some of the most popular quotes of 2020! Is there one that particularly speaks to you? (Revisiting the yellow & purple quotes is very timely for me right now! ) See more
