24.01.2022 We're off to Eildon tomorrow for a couple of days to Nanna Toogoods

23.01.2022 We went up to Nanna Toogoods on Sunday night and the idea was to relax and take it easy, Monday morning I met a family of Kangaroos on the outskirts of town on my run. They just stood up on the hind legs and watched the silly human run by knowing with a few hops they could out run me. I was rugged up it was about 3 degrees. I decided to paint the bathroom and the new paint on the wall played tricks on my eyes. While the 1st coat was drying Donna and I took our bikes out to the servo to pump up the tyers and we rode around the pondage. The winter sun shone and it was a perfect sunny winter day, The sun on the water, the trees and mountains in the background, and the moment of being carefree to pedal together. I did the other coat to the bathroom afterwards. I hope Nanna approves!

19.01.2022 Nanna Toogood's is now booked out from the 25th of December till the 1st of January the Dam is about 50 % full but that's a good thing as it leaves more room to park your boat trailer and car and it's still 3 times the surface area of Sydney

18.01.2022 I finished the garage roof's 1st coat with a brush and then found my paint sprayer and did the 2nd coat in half the time with half the paint! Nanna Toogoods is booked out from the 31st of December to the 11th of January 2014

12.01.2022 it's been a season of repairs including water main, evaporative cooler reset and repainting door frames in hallway around guests staying for summer. We did get out on the boat on Monday for a spin in the sun on the water

12.01.2022 we've got new curtains to put up to keep the heat in in winter and the heat out in summer!

10.01.2022 I drove up on Monday and mowed the lawn, the house was spotless after our last guests. The new curtains are keeping it cooler inside, there were a few kangaroo deposits on the front nature strip, but no lodgers lounging around on the back lawn like earlier last year. (see photo below) The house is booked out this weekend 4th and 5th of Feb should be great weather again the boat sits in the driveway gently mocking me.

09.01.2022 We're off to Nanna Toogoods to stay instead of just clean for someone else with Scott and Jo Hamilton and the boys!

07.01.2022 At great expense to the management I had a split system put into the lounge room a week ago as well as the roof on the back porch rebuilt

06.01.2022 I hacked the prickly bush on the front fence line to half it's height without getting snagged!

03.01.2022 I was at Nanna Toogoods yesterday It was raining over our side of the Black Spur only to emerge dry on the other side in some predictable fairy tale way. I mowed the lawn while the wife had a nap and pruned the apple tree but the flat weeds in the lawn will have to wait till next week! I'll rip you out them my pretties! (cue manic laughter!)

02.01.2022 I almost had a silent auction for next weekends booking. There is a bike race going through the town and people need somewhere to stay. The lady who made the booking said is there heating? I replied Yes and you'll need it too!
