25.01.2022 Nannie in Melbourne with these lovely girls for the foreseeable future. Those who know, will know to give a phone call. Operation over, now for the recouperation.
21.01.2022 Nannie is presently in Victoria, Da in Queensland. We are both missing each other, but having to do our bit to look after a special grandchild who is having to have a major operation next week. Here's a picture of Nannie getting ready on the morning she left...
06.01.2022 Just a quick shout-out to all who sent me such wonderful messages (both here and as Private Messages on Messenger), as well as phone calls on the occasion of Bi...rthday Number 6* a couple of days ago. I had fun with some of the grandchildren, some of my children and the one who keeps me so grounded -- Mrs. Comical. The local electricity company decided to work on the power on the day, so there was a day-long outage! A good excuse to shout the grannies at McDonald's (which their Mother always frowns on!), a visit to the beach (five minutes walk from home), and then the day was topped off with a yummy cheesecake before everyone had to head home, tired but happy. To all my Family of Friends on Facebook, may I take this opportunity to wish you all a great holiday season, and may 2021 be a little less stressful for you all. I'll be working on Christmas Day, so may not have opportunity (as I'd like) to email my wishes this year. (We're also having internet-provider issues, which is another story on its own that I won't bother going into.) COVID019 has knocked (and is knocking) a lot of Friends for six in 2020, so let's just wish for better days ahead. I look forward to (hopefully) seeing a lot more of many of you next year. Keep safe!
04.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all from Carlene and, er, Santa?
01.01.2022 Nannie is day two post-COVID jab. Doing well. Just sleeping. Da is going to retreat to the ‘music room’ (I.e. man-cave) ... after the chores are done. Emptying dishwasher, doing washing, hanging washing out, preparing meal for tonight ... and wondering if he’ll get a chance to do anything else, after all!
