20.01.2022 After being away for 2 months on the road, classes and PT are back on in the gym. We are all suffering a little( or in my case a lot) after Filthy Fit on Saturday. Nothing that a bit of regular training cant fix. Tomorrow we resume Core and Balance (pilates style workout) at 4.45pm and THUMP Boxing for fitness at 6pm. 18.01.2022 Heading out for a MTB ride to loosen up the very tight legs from Filthy on Saturday and 3 hours of kata training on Sunday. For beginners tight and sore muscles can be a bit off putting, but for a old hand it's part of a journey that just keeps getting better and better. Join me for some spin cycling on Tuesday at 6.15am. Beginners to advanced. All will benefit from the session.

18.01.2022 Its that time of year!! The FILTHY FIT GAMES are approaching. We have started practising for the 4 weeks of challenges which involve a choice or 30 minute AMRAP's and a 10 minute compulsory each week. Who will wrestle the trophy from this lady? She's pretty keen to keep her piggy.

06.01.2022 Congrats to 2 super ladies last month for tieing for most classes attended for the month. Heather M and Sue F Both attended 22 sessions, thats more than 5 per week for the month. Thanks ladies, a free session us in your account for when I return.

05.01.2022 Final group session for 2020. FILTHY FIT finished the year off for the gym and oh what a session it was. The Games final round saw the tables turn in the fight to take up 2nd 3rd and 4th places with a very different compulsory component today throwing a spanner in the works. A very well deserved First place with 70.6 points went to Renee Dickson who led in all rounds bar the final today. Renee showed pure athleticism and won with her normal good natured and attention to detai...l approach. Topling Lorraine Learmond (59.4)for 2nd place at the final round was Leigh Guthridge with 63.1 who has come along leaps and bounds and will be a force to be reckoned with in 21. Leigh won todays session with some canny lifting in the compulsory. Heather fought her way into 4th place closely followed by Regan both with solid results. You can book until the limit is reached and cancel.up to 12 hours before so if you're not sure just book a spot. 05.01.2022 I have two very lovely ladies collecting donations for a cause very close to our hearts. Jen Bornatici is taking part in the March Charge in honour of loved ones lost to cancer and Jane Snee, a training partner and fellow karate instructor is facing her own battle with cancer for the 2nd time in her life , having defeated leukaemia in her 20s and is shaving her head to raise for those facing a similar journey. Please think about dropping some change into their jars next you visit the gym.
