The wool is converted to a liquid fertiliser, high in nitrogen, providing plants with an absorbent amino acid soup. It also feeds the micro-organisms in the earth, improving soil quality. Ramiz will be presenting Verigrow each hour, on the hour on Saturday 12th, at 10am, 11am, 12noon, 1pm and 2pm at Keladry Farm Nursery. 24.01.2022 As we head into the 4th weekend of the Live Lighter Nannup Flower and Garden Festival, the town tulips are coming to the end of blooming. The glory of nature and spring however is that there are still tulips flowering in the Mandala, and at some of the open gardens, so put on your exploring shoes and search a little bit further to find the flowers. And remember, it is spring so there are lots of other blossoms starting to bud. There will be 20 stalls scattered through the m...ain street as well as the local markets that run until 1pm. While we cannot have the quantity of stalls usually present at the festival, we are thrilled to offer you a taste of the local product, arts and crafts, and produce. And if you fancy a bit of gardening activity or a cultural experience, check out the 2 presentations being held by Dr Bob Longmore on the Versatile Weed, and Josh Whitelend from Koomal Dreaming. Both on sale via the website. If you are looking for some open garden options, Merri Bee Organic Farmacy are open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for tours at 10.30am and 3pm. 23.01.2022 The count down is on to close this year's festival, and what a journey is has been. So many people to thank, so many flowers, food, joy, experiences, photos, memories, coffee, plants, walks, workshops...... and the list goes on. It has been a learning curve, but such an enjoyable one. The committee are happy and tired, and I think all the community can agree that their commitment to this festival has gone above and beyond. 14.01.2022 Hang on the Nannup Garden Village Inc are not done yet! They love flowers so much they replanted some barrels to decorate the main Street for the school holiday, these Dutch Iris look gorgeous and are being admired by visitors.

11.01.2022 That is a wrap. Following 5 weeks and 6 weekends we can celebrate what an achievement this years festival has been. Acknowledging that perhaps it went too long, we applaud all the small businesses who continued to embrace the changes and showcase all things Nannup. We don’t think anyone could have predicted the thousands of people that passed through the streets and shops over this period. 10.01.2022 Two more experiences to consider this weekend are: The Studio. Open Friday and Sunday from 10am to 3pm, offering you a chance to explore an artists studio nestled into the garden OR... Perhaps you would like to take a tour of Barrabup Organics, a small family owned organic farm surrounded by forest. Tours are Friday at 1pm and Saturday at 10am, and can be booked via their Facebook page. 10.01.2022 A part of the charm of our annual festival, is the opportunity for people to explore the town of Nannup and all the offerings available during this winter break. Are you a local organisation or individual who would like to run an event between August 14 to September 5? If so then email our coordinator - [email protected] outline what you would like to contribute to the program, and we will support through promotion.... Examples from 2020 included High Teas by the CWA, children's Mosaic workshops and an exhibition by the Nannup Art Group. 09.01.2022 As we had into our 5th weekend of the 2020 Live Lighter Nannup Flower and Garden Festival, we thank all those who have visited and enjoyed the town of Nannup and all it has to offer. While the tulips are almost finished you can still find lots of spring blossoms throughout the town and gardens, and you can also visit some interesting places such as Nyth Y Dryw. This property has added to its diversity with an incredible 'natural' pool that blends seamlessly into the rural landscape. Only open this coming weekend so grab your tickets if you want to visit. 07.01.2022 Our beautiful Spiral of Life Mandala continues to evolve throughout the festival. Lara Rose Botanical Stylist has gathered together some gorgeous everlastings from Lucinda's Everlastings who have generously sponsored the blooms. There are only 9 days left to visit the Festival and still lots of open gardens to see. We had many entries in what was a difficult competition, where entrants needed to identify both the common name, botanical name and age of the tree. 04.01.2022 As you can see our bulbs are nestled into the Shire of Nannup cool room ready to be planted soon. This year we have a record 20000 to plant which has got us all very excited. Planning is well under way and the program is looking good. Many announcements to make in the coming weeks. Working with other small businesses and supporting each other is one of the keys to their success in having such a great range of stock. Prioritising handmade, locally grown and produced or designed means you never quite know what will turn up on the shelf next. Many of the products you find at A Taste of Nannup have been sourced from the many stalls that the festival invites.
