23.01.2022 Post swimming treats. One little girl has had a love hate relationship with swimming lately. She loves the water and being in the pool at home, but doesn’t appreciate being told what to do and her ‘play time’ being interrupted during swimming lessons resulting in some very questionable behaviour Today we had a big chat beforehand about good and bad behaviour and I asked her to show her baby how we behave properly (see last photo ). Well whatever it was worked and she ...was the best she’s been In a LONG time. I had the biggest smile on my face and told her 500 times how proud I was of her @ The Brook Eatery

23.01.2022 I had this little star over night for the first time in 2018 when he was only 4 months old. Over 2 years later and Ive got him for the whole weekend love getting to watch all of your cherubs grow and blossom!

23.01.2022 Lets talk ISO. How is everyone coping? Because today Ill stick my hand up and say Im not. These two seemingly angelic little girls pushed me to my absolute limits today to the point where there were tears from all three of us and the feeling of defeat was something I could not shake. Lucky theyre cute hey. Nannying has thrown a lot of challenges and learning experiences my way over the last few years but Im finding this one very hard to navigate. I think Id sti...ll be struggling with isolation even if I was home with my family in Victoria, but, being a live in nanny, isolation for me means I now cant leave my workplace. And before I continue I want to re-iterate how much I LOVE my job and feel so fortunate to work for a family where I am genuinely just one of them - a part of their family. It is something that I absolutely do not take for granted. But just think of those days when youve had a shocker day at work and all you want to do is just go home, stick your feet up and have a drink. Whilst I can still do all those things, and this house is my home, theres always that little element of ugh Im still at work hanging around. 14.01.2022 Getting out and about each day for some fresh air and exercise has made SUCH a difference this week for all of our moods (nothing at all to do with the fact the kiddos started back at day care Monday and Tuesday instead of being with me allll day evvvvvvery day ). Wednesday we checked out the Fairyland track in the Lane Cove National Park and the 3 of us fell in love. Hard to believe this is such a short drive from our house! Thursday we headed to Meadowbank and scooted.../ran/walked through Meadowbank Park and Memorial Park along Parramatta River. Had a quick stop for takeaway smoothies and coffee before turning around and heading back. What did you get up to in ISO week 5,287?

12.01.2022 Weve got a @tarongazoo play date tomorrow and our ritual is to sit and have lunch and whilst we watch the seal show. Ive now learnt to pack lunch the night before so its not such a mad house in the morning trying to get out the door! So glad all our favourites are re-opening!

12.01.2022 The kiddos were in charge of today’s trip to woolies. First we checked our list at home and popped everything on to an easy to understand shopping list. Then I dropped them at woolies and told them I’d see them in 20 minutes - well I wish ... No, instead I kept my cool as we navigated woollies for 45 minutes whilst the girls went through each row (multiple times) to find everything on their lists. Bels even reminded us to check the eggs for cracks! Fun/slightly stressful little time killer for a Friday arvo!

04.01.2022 Healthy Little Foodies Gnocchi Bake on the menu tonight. This took hardly any time to whip up and is deeeelicious (plus packed with so many veggies). I adapted the recipe slightly and substituted the stock for some water that I rinsed out the remainder of the passata with.
