The nanny must be passionate about working with children and have a real love of learning. The family homeschool their 3 school aged children and take the ‘unschooled’ approach to learning. This involves fostering the children’s interests and providing them with opportunities to spark their own curiosity. This ‘natural learning’ approach is child led and involves dedicating time for exploration and interest based projects. Each day will begin with an excursion or outing of some sort, after which the children return home to take part in appropriate learning activities. This is a unique opportunity for any nanny to engage in an alternative approach to schooling. The nanny will work alongside the children’s mother to plan and manage each day.
