17.01.2022 Fragrances are so bad for you and they are in so many things. Recently I asked the staff, at the gym I go to, for the ingredients in the spray they supply for everyone to clean the equipment. She told me it was the better option they had because it was lemongrass. it’s not lemongrass, it’s a chemical reproduction of lemongrass. Of course when she found out the ingredients it was lemongrass fragrance. ... That’s not lemongrass, that’s a toxic chemical storm This is how labelling is confusing. Copied :- Fragrances When you think of fragrance, perhaps your favourite perfume comes to mind. But fragrance is so much more now than what they used to be, they are a part of almost every product we purchase and the atmosphere we enter. From shampoos, baby products to dish detergent, from the grocery store to the office and the Uber in between, we are constantly being bombarded with scents. Why to avoid fragrances? The chemicals used to make fragrances are classified as allergens, hormone disruptors, asthma triggers, neurotoxins and carcinogens. Fragrance is used on the label and can hide a cocktail of more than 100 toxic ingredients because they are considered to be trade secrets. Also, the fragrance industry regulates itself, so that safety testing does not have to be confirmed by regulators before products are sold to consumers. Phthalates, which are chemicals that help the scents last longer are extremely hard to avoid because manufacturers are not required to list them on ingredient labels, yet in the past few years, researchers have linked phthalates to asthma, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, breast cancer, obesity and type II diabetes, low IQ, neurodevelopmental issues, behavioural issues, autism spectrum disorders, altered reproductive development and male fertility issues. Most people assume that fragrances are 100% safe but that is not the case. Just as we have to be discerning of the food we eat, we have to do the same for the air we breathe. Afterall, the scent is mainly used to make the product seem more effective and even healthier, which is what the manufacturer wants you to think. Be on the lookout for ones that are called natural fragrances, as there are barely any guidelines for them and can be just as toxic as synthetic fragrances. These scents pass from the skin and into the blood. Even with fragrance free, always check the label, know the ingredients and letters as well as numbers they are labelled with. 15.01.2022 On a practical note: I assume you are all washing and sanitising your hands diligently now ;-) We have all had the upgraded education on how viruses spread, hyg...iene and how to actually wash our hands ;-) With an excessive use of anti-bacterial soaps and hand sanitisers I want to bring light to some things to keep in mind. Some anti-bacterial soaps and sanitisers are harsh and toxic and can actually strip the hands of your natural protective immune system, your micro biome. Im anticipating a huge break out of dermatitis after this intense use of these harsh products. Im having people come to me with this already so here are some ideas to stay diligent and hygienic AND take care of your skin. Consider natural alternatives for your hand wash. We have been using On Guard Handwash for years. Its at every sink in our home and its cleansing, protective and nourishing to the hands. Ive put some options in the images below for a home made version. For Hand Sanitiser which is hard to come by these days, the best way to keep clean is still to wash your hands, but when you are on the go use gloves and make your own at home. Ive been advised by doctors that the alcohol in the recipe needs to be 60-70% so keep that in mind when buying your chosen alcohol. Minimise your exposure to harsh chemicals, this will support your micro biome to stay intact which its you first line of defence and is part of your immune system. Use natural healing balms and hand creams to keep your skin nourished. This is a time to bring consciousness to everything that we do, the impact and ripple of each choice we make. 14.01.2022 This is why I won’t use store bought sanitizer. I use the DoTERRA sanitising mist ;) Recently I went to go through a check out at a local supermarket and the conveyor was dripping wet. I must of looked shocked as the checkout girl said it’s okay, it’s JUST sanitizer. My response was I don’t want that s... on my groceries as it’s toxic so I handed one item at a time to her. It’s literally everywhere and it’s hurting our immune systems, please try to research and be more... aware of what is happening around you. I carry my own with me and when shop staff offer my their toxic hand sanitizer, I pull out my own from my bag. Be empowered, take your control back.

13.01.2022 Extra important to wash your fruit and veg when you bring them home and not just your hands. Draw them a bath of cool water, some bicarb and a couple of drops ...of lemon Essential Oil. Like all bathes, no need to rush them. Let them soak for a while the drain, rinse with fresh water then put them away. Why lemon? Its a natural cleanser. It also slows down oxidation so your strawberries will last longer. Win win

Try ...our DIY Hand Cleansing Gel recipe: 5 tablespoons Aloe Vera Gel 4 tablespoons water teaspoon Vitamin E Oil 810 drops dTERRA On Guard 1/3 cup alcohol 1.
