23.01.2022 Just finished and nearly ready to deliver to its new home! The brief was, just go wild! Client loves it and I had fun painting it. One metre by 76 cm. Should brighten up a big space anyway.

15.01.2022 Makes all the effort worthwhile when you see little people knowing exactly what to do. We were served lots of "muffins" hot from the oven before we left. His biggest disappointment? No matter how much he turned the tap, the water didn't come out!

14.01.2022 Still in "Old Furniture" mode... The Grandfather Chair has seen better days, but we rescued the back and the right front leg. Cleaning, repairing, staining and polishing, adding a brace to the leg and a hinge to the brace gave it stability. Then some MDF to use for taping on small pieces of canvas, some pegs, and a padded upholstery back, and voila! The Grandfather Table Top Easel is ready for use, so I can go back to some more painting.

10.01.2022 The journey so far... Just for a change, I have gone back to my other love, restoring old furniture. This chair, now minus green paint and huge amounts of tacky black varnish, is sanded and stained ready for its final coat once the base has been replaced. More fun!

09.01.2022 And some more of the exhibition...

08.01.2022 The past few weeks may have been quiet but the Studio has been a great place to keep warm, listen to old CDs and throw some paint around! I'm trying a few new ideas and techniques. Hope they work!

07.01.2022 I am grateful to Beth for these beautiful daisies, which lasted long enough to paint. They grow wild in some gardens, just not mine. But having looked closely into a gazania flower, I am tempted to try more wild daisy flowers even if they are considered more weed than wonderful by some.

06.01.2022 Two very different landscapes! I'm finding the more I relax with a piece and the more fun I have painting it, the better I like the finished piece. But wall space will be at a premium soon as the Exhibition at Heartfelt in Kaniva will be over in a week or two and I will be bringing home the work to hang in Studio 33. Come and visit, if you're up this way!

05.01.2022 And just for a change - "New Blue" just had to help me change the pace from intense concentration to a bit of impressionist fun.

05.01.2022 We are making progress, slowly! Some of the ideas just need time for the paint to dry, but the "fridge/freezer" looks like working well after my wonderful Mr Fix-it shifted hinges half a mm here and there. The view from the "window" of the "garden" is also waiting for paint to dry before it can all be assembled, but you get the idea of what it might look like. And THEN, can we fix a chair to match? Well, nearly - it's on its way too. More paint-drying time.

05.01.2022 "Light the Lamp" was a challenge. The etched glass worked out in the end and I'm happy with the overall piece. There is another antique lamp in the pipeline now, just to keep up the practice.

05.01.2022 All done! Ready for installation in its new home. Thanks to my wonderful Mr Fix-it for coming on this ride with me. The great-grandies might like to cook up a treat for Superpa to thank him!

04.01.2022 Black on nearly black! The adventure into Still Life is fun, though.

04.01.2022 Poppies, Grape Hyacinths and Queen Anne's Lace - a wonderfully wild garden. Just a bit of fun while the final touches of paint to the TV/Play Kitchen dry.

04.01.2022 "Erlicheers" grow in our garden, just in time to place them with the antique lamp. More challenge, more fun.

02.01.2022 New exhibition hung this morning..... Beautiful! Thanks Pam and Naomi.

01.01.2022 Green paint, did I say? Then fixing the base before the final assembly, ready for its new home. Satisfied that it is comfortable and it works!
