25.01.2022 Run like a girl! amazing

24.01.2022 50 marathons in 50 days to raise 50k and awareness around homelessness and poverty.. I came across this story a couple of weeks ago and have been following along.. if you’re looking for some inspiration to get you motivated this guy is it!

21.01.2022 Throwback to when I spent some time in Kenya in 2012, these kids were so keen to learn and join in on my runs! Running is a great way to explore new places and meet new people, where has been your favourite town/city/country to run in whilst holidaying?

19.01.2022 32 weeks and still happily plodding along.. albeit a bit slower these days! I’ve decided that I think I am carrying a bit differently this pregnancy.. it literally looks like I’ve shoved a basketball up my top! . How good is this awesome spring weather too! #forthelongrun #runningcoach #pregnantrunner #32weekspregnant #springrunning #runningmumsaustralia #runningforhealth #running #ploddingalong #runningmotivation

16.01.2022 How’s that for a marathon finish!

14.01.2022 Afternoon walk/run with my little #threenager! Ollie ran/walked the first km then hitched a lift in the pram for the last three! . He kept looking at his (Jeremys) watch saying I’m keeping up mum! . #forthelongrun #runningmumsaustralia #runningcoach #pregnantrunner #34weeks #kidswhorun #monkeyseemonkeydo #runningkid #energetickid

13.01.2022 First big event that’s going ahead in some time.. one more day to get your entries in!

12.01.2022 Things don’t always go to plan and that’s okay! The marathon journey is a long one.. months of dedicated training.. hard speed sessions, long solo long runs, plenty of easy kms.. all to lead to one day! . Sometimes it all comes together perfectly on the day, and other times not so much! we can’t control everything and sometimes it just doesn’t pan out how we want it to, I (and most people) have had bad races and know how disappointing it can be to not achieve what you have set out to do but it’s important to remember the journey and be proud of that! . A special shout out to Nick who’s race didn’t pan out last weekend (body and mind had other ideas on the day!), looking forward to seeing him refocus and kick some more running goals going forward!

12.01.2022 Pilates while the kids are asleep (hooray this is exciting as Ollie has decided he no longer likes naps since Piper was born lol) . Tilt your pelvis, slightly compress your rib cage and lengthen your spine, and gently roll your shoulder blades down and back.. these are the cues I give myself before performing any exercise, they allow me to bring my body into a ‘neutral posture’ creating a stable base before adding in movement (you can see me doing these actions in the vide...o) . This exercise is reasonably self explanatory, hold your neutral posture while lifting knee and opposite arm, main goal being to activate glutes, deep core, mid back and hip flexors.. three rounds of eights reps each side.. give it a go! . Extra fun fact for today.. I am a Bowen Therapist and qualified pilates instructor.. hence why I love talking about this stuff #forthelongrun #runningcoach #bodystrength #runningmumsaustralia #pilates #returntorunning #postbabyexercise See more

10.01.2022 It takes months and months of training, commitment, sacrifice and dedication to run a marathon! I’m so excited for Mel Sharrad who will be running her first marathon this weekend and Nick Stevens who will be taking it on for the second time.. the hard work is done, time to run and reap the rewards of your training! only 42.2kms to go!

09.01.2022 Not bad for an old bloke! My 59 year old dad managed to cover 5.8kms in his winning hockey grand final yesterday.. have you recorded how far you’ve travelled during your respective sports games before?

05.01.2022 39 weeks + 6 days I can’t believe my due date is tomorrow.. after having an early baby last time I did not see this coming! . I’m hoping today’s swim might encourage this baby to make an appearance soon (seeing as it’s my first swim since last summer) . I am lucky that I’m still feeling quite good and not really too uncomfortable at this stage.. I am just feeling impatient and ready to see this little boy or girl! and maybe somewhat nervous about what I have to do in ord...er for that to happen but I will trust that my body knows what to do . 04.01.2022 Proud of this lady! After a long and drawn out marathon training period due to events being postponed Mel finally got to tick the marathon off of her bucket list! She stayed committed throughout her training which is very admirable under the ever changing circumstances! What a way to mark her 50th year of life and in a great time too! I’m looking forward to hearing her full race recap! Mel Sharrad
