03.01.2022 Its been a big day in Broome. This morning we announced our $110.9 million recovery plan for the Kimberley. This will see $21 million in Kimberley infrastructu...re projects focused on renewable energy technologies. $16 million for major TAFE infrastructure in Broome and Kununurra. It includes the construction of a new $3 million jetty built at picturesque Town Beach in Broome. And we are setting aside millions to invest in our health, community services and other important projects. This plan is an important part of driving economic and social recovery in the region. Itll create and support local jobs by providing a pipeline of work, and ensure we recover stronger than ever. There maybe be difficult days ahead on our road to recovery. But its clear. The future is looking bright for the Kimberley.
