15.01.2022 COVID-19 l Community Update On Tuesday evening (March 24, 2020) Prime Minister Scott Morrison implemented further restrictions on gatherings at Funeral Services. As many venues throughout our Bendigo community have been forced to close their doors, Napier Park Funerals are still able to accommodate restricted services in our Chapel.... Effective immediately, our Chapel is limited to 10 persons or less (including funeral director/s, Clergy and/or a Celebrant). Keeping in mind that the social distancing rule of 1 person per 4 square meters is strictly adhered to. This rule is in place for the health and wellbeing of our client families, staff and the wider community, and we appreciate that social distancing is adhered to at all times. We understand that these are challenging and trying times, however, our staff are committed to providing our community with funeral care 24 hours, 7 days a week. We will continually update our Facebook page with new updates as they become available.

05.01.2022 COVID - 19 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Can I have 50 people inside and 50 outside a chapel? The limits to funeral services are a total of 50 people if indoors, or a total of 50 people if an outdoor service as well as the people required to conduct the funeral, such as the officiant or funeral company staff.... Do the guidelines/restrictions effect the actual funeral ceremony or just the number of people attending? There are no changes to the service itself. All services just need to be conducted within the guidelines/ restrictions for number of people and social distancing measures. What are you doing to ensure you are compliant? We are staying close to the most up-to-date information available from the Australian Government’s Department of Health and liaising with the Australian Funeral Directors Association (AFDA). To ensure our services comply with the existing guidelines which require funeral homes to provide a minimum space of 4sqm per person and to ensure 1.5m social distancing practices are adhered to. We are also maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout our facilities. Do the same guidelines/restrictions apply if we have the funeral in a church? Yes. The same restrictions apply in any location or venue.
