You will be part of an enthusiastic team providing professional care and support to families through all aspects of the funeral industry including but not limited to:... Arranging funeral services (traditional and innovative) with families whilst listening to understand each individual wants, beliefs and culture Providing pre-planning advice including pre-paid funerals and funeral bonds Transfer of deceased persons from private homes, nursing homes and hospitals Administrative duties including answering telephones/reception enquiries, data base entries, preparation of orders of service and photo presentations You will be a part of our after-hours on-call roster during the week and on weekends. The successful candidate will have the following essential attributes: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service or event management Excellent time management and organisation skills. You will also need to be flexible as no day is the same Ability to be comfortable in dealing with death and an understanding of the grieving process Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional attention to detail, for coordination of paperwork, contracts and legal documentation Appropriate presentation The ability to be flexible and to manage a high pressure / fast paced environment Ability to show understanding, empathy and be sensitive to people's needs Ability to quickly build rapport with families Current full VIC driver's licence This role requires bending, reaching and lifting. It also requires you to be able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time If this role appeals to you and you have the ability to calmly deal with emotionally difficult situations in what can be a challenging position then you are encouraged to apply.
