25.01.2022 "Holding baby out" A term thats disappeared from our baby care conversations. It wasn't that long ago it was common place to offer the potty on wake ups, during nappy changes and after feeds. EC isnt anything new and fancy it's what we did before commercial nappies were available. But life is busy and EC doesnt mean sitting home and watching your baby like a hawk. EC definately does not mean forcing you baby to sit on a potty when you decide they "should" be going to the toi...let...that's where conventional potty training swung too far. EC is NOT potty training What happens in EC is once you start offering assistance to elimanate, the instinct to "hold on" is nutured and babies start to signal more clearly because they know you will respond to their need, and they "hold on" until you assist them to a potty or toilet. It really is (and this cliche sure does get a work out) like a muscle. The more you respond to the need to eliminate the clearer they signal and wait for the potty. Thank you for sharing this beautiful image of your dreamy EC experience with us @barbara.stanton #nappyless #lifewithlessnappies #eliminationcommunicationworks #eliminationcommunicationaustralia #eliminationcommunication #diaperfree #nappyfree #EC #aussiemums #aussiedads #newmum #newdad #waronwaste #resposive #windelfrei #clothnappy

20.01.2022 10 days old! There's something to be said about the peaceful sleep #newborn #babies have when they have been assisted to eliminate before a nap A post like this is going to catch the attention of parents of newborn, and I think it's safe to guess the first question they'd ask would be - How do you know when a newborn baby needs to eliminate? If you have practiced #eliminationcommunication and have assisted your baby to eliminate as early as the #4thtrimester, please comme...nt here with the signs you looked for to know when it was time to potty your #baby, to assist new and curious parents that may want to consider #EC Thank you for sharing @kamamama_2 #nappyless #godiaperfree #windelfrei #uselessnappies #eliminationcommunicationworks #eliminationcommunicationaustralia #eliminationcommunication #nappies #clothnappy #potty #diaper

20.01.2022 Big steps in SA!

14.01.2022 Elimination Communication We started EC when Dorian was about one week old! After a few weeks, we decided to stop and just rely on our cloth diapers for hi...s toileting needs (Covid, stress, balancing the needs of a toddler & newborn, you know....). But about a month ago we decided to give it another try pretty casually and very part time. I would just offer the toilet at every diaper change (when he was cranky but I knew he wasn’t tired or hungry) and he would go! So then I started paying more attention to his cues, and this afternoon he wore the same pair of cotton trainers from 2pm to 6pm, going in the toilet every time! there are defiantly days where it feels like we miss every cue and barely catch any in the toilet, but we’re getting the hang of it! Do you EC?? I’d love to hear about your experience! #montessori #montessoribaby #elimination lcommunication #montessoripreparedenvironment #montessorimom #montessorichild #freedomofmovement #godiaperfree @godiaperfree

12.01.2022 https://thestir.cafemom.com//frida-mom-postpartum-recovery that's okay, the internet will fix that :) this ad will probably get more coverage now, due to controversy. We do need more honesty and talking when it comes to the mum game. Once upon a time kids were home watching parents and helping with a lot of the parent things, but now with changes in the workforce and family dynamic, kids and young adults are going into the third trimester pretty blind, even though they re...ad all the books and go to all the classes, nothing really prepares you as much as Id rather people rely on community and family than products, there's some good intentions in this advertisement

09.01.2022 You know who loves Elimination Communication? Dads! Father's day is approaching and I thought it would be a good oppurtunity to hear from Dads about EC. Shining a light on their roles and to say thank you. 08.01.2022 I see a similar parrallel with the marketing and cultral dependance on disposable nappies. A disposable nappy company wants parents to use more of the brand's product, for as long as possible. They don't want you to feel capable so you depend on the product...#mumguilt #dadguilt #parentguilt... Guess what...we are capable #eliminationcommunication

07.01.2022 I get a real kick out of seeing Elimination Communication (EC) hit the spotlight! Just so parents know they have options. EC might not be for everyone, but I like the idea of people knowing EC exists and choosing not to do EC, rather than they not know EC exists at all. I didn't know it existed, and my first thought was "that can't possibly work" so I understand. Thank you to Gemma Sapwell and everyone involved. https://www.abc.net.au//elimination-communication/12583444... I might not have put things perfectly when questioned, but hey that's just me, I dont have the gift of the gab, and i'm rough around the edges to say the least, but im okay with that and I really hope people appreciate the article. If its not an option for you I totally get it and im not saying everyone MUST do this, it's just an option, like do I wear blue or yellow today. It's nothing personal or judgemental, we're all just out here doing our best <3

06.01.2022 https://www.herald.co.zw/ban-disposable-diapers-ema/ have disposable nappies (diapers) become a modern day crutch?

03.01.2022 A simple post from Elimination Communication about starting nappy free time. It really is that simple Some information out there will focus on making a plan before you start, being prepared, a shopping list and key decisions to be made, which can lead to a lot of overthinking... Its really a simple as popping bub down nappy free and keeping a covertly watchful eye, instead of watching literally for wee or poo, look at babies demeanour, you will likely see upset or stillness right before a motion if you can start seeing these signs and answering to these "cues," soon baby will start to look to you when they feel a need to go, this can take a few weeks to develop and it may begin to happen as early as a few months of age... yes...babies can tell if they need to go... #nappyless #eliminationcommunication #godiaperfree #windelfrei
