21.02.2022 Continuing with my ‘Rabbit Proof Fence’ series, my recent artist book, ‘Book of Rabbit Proof Fence’ has been selected as a finalist in the 2022 Libris Awards: The Australian Artist’s Book Prize at the Artspace Mackay. This is a biennial award. So very excited and honoured as there are so many talented established book artists as finalists.

10.02.2022 This is my start to my ‘sense of place’. For the online @fibreartstaketwo Masterclass ‘ Essence of Identity’. I love the shoreline as it is intersected by rocks and boulders and pebbles and never ending undulating lines of waves beating at the shore. The weathered rocks, the aquas and blues, rich rust colours, soft sand and huesall bring me to a place of calm yet energy. For most of my life I have lived near the sea. A California teenager always hitting the hot sands of Huntington Beach. Coco butter running down my skin, sticky hot sand, and blue as far as the eye can see.

30.01.2022 Op shop finds today. Beautiful vintage dictionary for my collages and decorative stamps. Looking forward to a play.

21.01.2022 So last night at the Easter Art Show was a big night for David and I. We were both so humbled to have been awarded and recognized for our artworks. David’s,’Centurion on Sandgate Foreshores’ won Best of Show. I won Best 2D for ‘ The Weeper’. Best 3D for ‘Rabbit Proof Fence’ and Highly Commended for ‘ And the Summer Became the Fall’ a digital holograph. Quite overwhelmed, grateful and excited. 17.01.2022 I’m so excited to announce that David and I have both had our artworks, Rabbit Proof Fence and Nundle Terrain, accepted into the Lethbridge Landscape Art Prize as finalists and our artworks will hang in the show starting 29 April. So very honored to have been selected for this prestigious juried exhibition. Major award announced May 1st. Can’t wait.

16.01.2022 Collections! We all collect. Time waster? Space grabber? Or taking pleasure in embracing the things we love. Just a few of my treasures. my rust tool collections all crusty, eroded, weathered pieces of them. Art installation and creation makers of prints, stains and texture. My seedpod collections reminiscent of places I’ve been, where I’ve walked, each an organic textural memory of natures wonders. Tassels tassels tassels the dangles, the colours, the opulence, draped over the delicate iron lace of time passed All these collections envelope me in lusciousness and inspiration .. if only just to look and see.

04.01.2022 Just received exciting news! My artworks, ‘ The Weeper, Holograph’ has been selected as a Gallery exhibition finalist in the Lethbridge Small Scale Art Prize. And my second piece, ‘And the Summer Became the Fall, Holograph’ has been accepted as an Online Finalist. Very honored and humbled to have my works both accepted into this prestigious exhibition. The Weeper is a digital image printed on silk, stitched with free motion metallic thread embroidery and an overlay of silk organza. The Summer became the Fall is a digital image printed on gold leaf and metallic acrylic with a silk organza overlay. Digital grounds with Inkaid were used. Both pieces are for sale online at Lethbridge Gallery.

03.01.2022 Naracoopa Art Gallery pop up art market on Sandgate Foreshores with SASart today as part of the @bluewater_festival @brisbanetogladstoneyachtrace. Lots of walkers, spectators enjoying some freedom after Brisbane’s 3 day lockdown. Beautiful windy day for sailing but not hanging out your art
