19.01.2022 Big wrap up post! Wow what a whirlwind of a weekend! We all left home with the intension of gearing up for a few big lead up weeks of polocrosse ahead of the Nationals... to it becoming our 'last hoorah'! So we finished off in fabulous style! Firstly congratulations to Adelaide Club for managing to get a carnival up and running after the tumultuous year you've all endured. To get through the fires and the loss of Dave Prior is a credit to your resilience to push on through....Continue reading

12.01.2022 As we (thankfully) draw to the end of an awful year, we reflect on what's been good, bad & ugly..... There is hope on the horizon that our 2021 Tournaments will be the BEST yet as we all yearn to come together (within a safe distance ) and play our beloved sport of POLOCROSSE. We couldn't make the tournaments happen without the amazing support we have received from our sponsors!!!!! Please show them your support by following their page, buying direct, pick up the phone and thank them personally, tell a friend about them, give those businesses support in any way you can.

11.01.2022 Justin's report on their YP travels... 4 of us wild adventurers from the NPC made the trip to YP last weekend in what turned out to be an awesome weekend of close Polocrosse and great Saturday night entertainment. Ben, Lindsay and myself played in the A grade and were always challenged with tough competition from Adelaide, a YP/Oakbank combo and the Tri State side, who had a special guest (their coach) in Matt Bowman. We won our 3 prelim games, though never by much, and it ...seemed whenever our chucka went down our 3 superstar girls in the other chucka came to the rescue. Those girls were Jess Bowman, who made it look easy to continually win and carry the ball, and Rosie Boon and Jessie-Lee, two NT superstars livin’ the life by flying in for the weekend and borrowing horses. They were the difference in the final against the Tri State, drawing ahead while we battled to square our chucka in a very satisfying weekend. Ellena and myself played in the C grade where there were unfortunately only two teams, but it didn’t really detract from the competition once chucka’s were reversed, as the preliminary games were 1 all. The Oakbank side with Ellena ran away with the final, which told me we should have switched our chuckas as I was on the losing side, copping a forest load of timber from Elle in the process. A standout for me was the Saturday night activities. Over twenty people entered the barrel race from kids led on ponies to those who were pretty good at it. Amber completed it on her own, with Ziva only giving her a few strides of canter in spite of feet kicking at the edge of the saddle cloth. Elle proved the fastest runner leading Hannah around on Milo, and I had a go on Copper, but didn’t make the top 5 who were all within about half a second of each other. The final was held under lights after dinner, with a YP blue bandage player winning from Mick Angel. After the barrel race finals was the Farmers Challenge, which involved teams of three pushing a wheelbarrow loaded with hay (which weighed a ton and had a flat tyre), eating a dry weetbix, and sculling a can of warm beer/soft drink. Amber Hannah and myself held the fastest time till late in proceedings, though Hannah sustained injury from me stuffing the weetbix in her mouth, and Amber needed another shower after pouring a can of Coke down her front (under instruction). Ben, Lindsay and Elle also entered, but Ben needs a few weetbix eating tips off Hannah. All in all a great weekend well worth the drive. It would be great one year when all the stars align to see a pile more Naracoorte people make the trip. Very well done and many thanks to the YP crew. Cheers, Justin

10.01.2022 Some fab YP photos of NPC crew, particularly of Amber and Spanner! Thanks to Theresa Thompson Jack!

07.01.2022 SA State Champs and future Naracoorte Tournaments Please share. RUBBISH BINS due to the work load put on a small club, costs and the hazard/risk it poses to our members who physically handle the rubbish, we will no longer offer wheelie bins. Your camp rubbish is now your responsibility. We will however offer you a skip bin in 3 locations to dispose of it on site, otherwise you will need to take your rubbish home with you. In SA we get $ to recycle the cans. We ask you to ...support the local boy Scout Club by donating your cans. Please keep your cans separate and leave in the can bins provided next to the skip bins. Please leave your campsites tidy upon leaving (this includes white tape) or we may have to introduce camping fees or club fines in the future. The state of campsites has been gradually becoming worse over time. Be respectful and considerate of the beautiful environment that we offer you. It’s a privilege and we really want to keep it free. Please bring some garbage/chaff bags with you. Thank you for your co-operation.
