25.01.2022 This weekend we celebrate the Third Sunday of Easter. The disciples of Jesus had a great respect for the Jewish Scriptures, the Law of Moses and the Prophets. They came to full belief in the resurrection ofJesus only after he had opened their minds to see that his shameful death and glorious resurrection were foretold in the sacred texts. And so as Easter people ourselves, we are living the new life he has made possible. Our Mass times this weekend are Saturday 6 pm and Sunday 8 am.

24.01.2022 This weekend’s Mass is sometimes called Good Shepherd Sunday. The image of Jesus the Good Shepherd continues to bring us comfort. It reminds us that we are not alone. The Good Shepherd watches over us always. He lays down his life for us. He leads us to pasture, to water, to safety. He searches for us when we stray, and bandages our wounds. At Mass we will listen to the voice of the Good Shepherd. This week’s Mass is on Sunday at 11 am. Our celebrant is Fr Brian Angus, as Fr Christopher is away.

24.01.2022 This coming weekend we have the wonderful celebration of Pentecost. It is the beginning of the Church. We, as the Church, proclaim throughout the world, Christ’s message, in every language. We, as Christians, show to others the presence of the Spirit through the gifts of the Spirit, especially the gift of love. Our weekend Mass is on Sunday at 11 am. Our celebrant is Fr. Christopher.

23.01.2022 This weekend we celebrate the 5th Sunday of Easter. In the Gospel we will hear these well known words, spoken by Jesus. I am the true vine and you are the branches. Whoever remains in me, and I in him, bears fruit in plenty. Masses this weekend are 6 pm Saturday and 8 am Sunday. The celebrant is Fr. Christopher.

19.01.2022 This weekend we celebrate the Third Sunday of Advent. This Sunday is infused with hope and joy at the nearness of Jesus, who transforms us in his grace to be a Christian people. This weekend Mass is at 11 am Sunday. Although restrictions have lifted a little, we still need everyone to sign in by phone app or by writing down names and phone numbers. Our Christmas Masses are 7pm on Christmas Eve and 9 am on Christmas Day. You need to book in for both of these. To book in please text or call Simone van Rijn our parish Secretary on 0492 954 677. Bookings open on Sunday 13th December.

18.01.2022 This coming weekend we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension. We are assured that the risen Jesus, who was taken up to heaven, is still very close to us. We are called to recognise the signs of his presence in the goodness, love and forgiveness of the faithful in our communities, and in the great and small miracles in our lives. Our weekend Masses are 6 pm Saturday and 8 am Sunday. Our celebrant is Fr. Christopher.

17.01.2022 This weekend we celebrate the third Sunday of Advent. The day is infused with hope and joy with the nearness of Jesus, who transforms us in his grace to be a Christian people. Our Mass this weekend is at 11 am Sunday. Although restrictions have lifted a little, we still have to count people by them either signing in or by using the app on their phone. So if you could get to the church 10 minutes earlier, that would help those who are counting and ushering. Christmas Masses:... Please note: You have to book in for both Christmas Eve 7 pm and Christmas Day 9 am. The bookings will open next Sunday 13th December. Please text or ring Simone Van Rijn, our Parish Secretary, on 0492 954 677. See more

13.01.2022 This weekend we celebrate the Solemnity of what is usually called Corpus Christi, meaning The Body and Blood of our Lord. In this weekend’s gospel, we hear Jesus recalling the sacrifice marking the alliance between God and his people at Mt Sinai, and at the same time announcing the sacrifice he is about to offer on the cross, which becomes the new covenant, sealed by his body and blood. This weekend being the first Sunday of the month, following a fifth Sunday, the Mass times are the same as last weekend, 6 pm Saturday and 8 am Sunday.

08.01.2022 This coming weekend we celebrate the Feast of The Most Holy Trinity. In the gospel we hear these words of Jesus, Go therefore, make disciples of all the nations, baptise them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all the commands I have given you. And know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time. This weekend there will be Mass at 6 pm Saturday and at 8 am Sunday. Our celebrant will be Fr. Christopher.

06.01.2022 This weekend we will celebrate the 6th Sunday of Easter. I CALL YOU FRIENDS. We often call Jesus Lord, but do we often think of him, as he thinks of us, as a friend? In this weekend’s readings we will hear what Jesus teaches us about thinking of him as a friend, and of us being a friend to him. This weekend our Mass is on Sunday at 11 am. Our celebrant will be Fr. Christopher.

05.01.2022 This weekend we celebrate the Epiphany of the Lord. Led by a star, the wise men found and worshipped the Christ Child. Led by faith, we too have found the Christ, and in our Mass and in our lives, we will worship him. Being the first Sunday of the month, our Mass times are 6 pm Saturday and 8 am Sunday. Everyone is welcome. Our Parish Priest is Fr. Christopher Matala.

04.01.2022 Wishing everybody a happy Christmas and a healthy, peaceful new year.

01.01.2022 This weekend we celebrate the fourth Sunday of Advent. Like Mary we are able to cooperate with God’s plan of salvation. Today the gospel invites us to consider how our preparations for Christmas have made us more aware of God’s grace working in our lives. This weekend our Masses are Sat. 6 pm and Sunday at 8am. ... Mass on Christmas Eve will be at 7pm and Christmas Day at 9 am. You need to book for both, as we are expecting the usual large numbers. To book, please ring our Parish Secretary Simone van Rijn on 0492 954 677.
