24.01.2022 Maggie has come home for some rest and relaxation.

23.01.2022 Quick update on Mum and Bub. Mum is eating well and beginning to pace. Obviously she feels better now and is ready to go. Mum and Bub will be rereleased when weather permits

22.01.2022 So happy to see Mumma Jean. The neighbour got a big bulldozer in and cleared much of his land and sadly many of my wombats were in his bush block. They had made burrows to call home. He went through the block and knocked down trees and mulched it all up as he went mowing over all the burrows in his path. I don’t know who we have lost yet but I am slowly seeing some of my babies surface thank goodness. Perfectly legal, just so gut wrenching for our released wombats that called his place home. Thankfully we have also seen Wilbur and Olivia too, as they are in burrows down the front of our block. Such a hard life for a wombat

20.01.2022 Another addition to the Narbeview family arrived today. Welcome to Narbeview Delilah.

17.01.2022 Mumma Jean, Dora and Alan squeezed into the one bed.

17.01.2022 Sadly our boy didn’t make it. Little Howard passed away at 3.30am this morning. Sadly we found him too late to help him. RIP Howard. So sorry little man

17.01.2022 Gypsy has been sick with a Urinary tract infection. A short stay at Healesville Sanctuary to have ultrasounds and tests done to confirm diagnosis. Home now to recuperate and rest

16.01.2022 Nothing like snuggling up with teddy on a cold winters day. Maggie is quite comfortable.

13.01.2022 Molly (on left) was found underneath her deceased mum in Taggerty. She was very frightened and was extremely anxious. Mackayla came to Narbeview from another Carer to befriend Molly, which we were hoping would help Molly with her anxiety. I am very happy to say that they are inseparable. They seem very happy together, and Molly is much happier. Mackayla is very quiet and contented, which has helped Molly a lot.

13.01.2022 Millie teaching baby Billie to walk up and down stairs. A huge Thankyou to Peta and Mark for the regular video updates. It is so beautiful to know how they are going.

12.01.2022 Update on Mum and Bub wombat: Sadly Mum passed away after trying so hard to look after her little man. She had a slight improvement and then suddenly declined. She became to weak to stand and was unresponsive. At this point we made the decision to take her to the vet for euthanasia but she passed away very soon. When loading with Healesville Sanctuary, I thought that she may have had an internal haemorrhage but the sanctuary feel that she may have had a blood clot. Her littl...e man (Winston) is now in care with Annie, Heather and Lola. He still looks sad sometimes which is to be expected, he has lost his mum. Such a sad outcome for Mum and Winston. Please slow down and take precaution on our roads at night. Our wombats are really doing it hard. Between road accidents, sarcoptic mange and dog attacks, our wombat population is declining. In years to come, we won’t have the pleasure of seeing our little furry friends in the wild. We will have to visit a zoo. So sad.

11.01.2022 Good morning Gertrude. She’s eating like a trooper. Keep your chin up gorgeous. You are doing so well

11.01.2022 Little Howard has been given antibiotics. He has also been given nutrigel which is a vitamin concentrate paste that stimulates appetite. We have managed to get him to drink 100mls of electrolyte solution. All fingers and toes crossed for this little man

06.01.2022 UPDATE ON GERTIE Gerties health started to decline yesterday. She was trying to walk but would tip over to the left side. It appeared that her left side had lost strength. She could no longer walk around. Her breathing sounded moist and shallow. Her wounds were much improved, but I feel that we found her too late sadly. The infection had well and truly set in and she just couldn’t fight anymore. I’m so sorry Gertie. You had such spunk, but sadly you just couldn’t overcome those terrible injuries. Rest In Peace beautiful girl
