24.01.2022 Getting to know Eddie and Ruth Ovens in recent weeks has been an absolute delight! I feel sure our friendship will be on-going. Already a couple and a family for some four decades, sharing life's good times and hardships, Eddie and Ruth decided it was time to declare their love and commitment to all. Close family and friends gathered to witness and celebrate the occasion, a ceremony of love and laughter, recalling past memories and creating new ones! To Mr & Mrs Ovens I wish you love & Congratulations!

23.01.2022 It's not like me to struggle for words! I can't express how proud I was to conduct this ceremony! Being the celebrant is always a privilege and a pleasure but when the groom is my own son, marrying the love of his life, it's a real honour taking on both roles! Tiffany, looking radiant, was delighted to finally take the Riley surname with her husband, Bart and their precious son, Tobias! The company of family and friends enhanced their already special day.

21.01.2022 Jamey and Cassie Threadgate became Mr and Mrs in January. My apologies for the delay in posting pics. It was a delight to officiate in a real fairytale setting for a couple obviously devoted to one another and their young family. The children were full of joy and energy, too quick for my camera after the ceremony so I have included a family shot from another occasion because they are such an important part of the family and ssooo cute, you had to see. Cassie and Jamey, I wish you and your family every happiness together in the life that lies before you all. Apologies for poor lighting in some shots. I am a celebrant! Not a photographer!

20.01.2022 In a beautiful bushland setting on the banks of Collie's Marthaguy Creek, Adam and Rachael declared their love and exchanged their vows to become Mr & Mrs Bond. With Indie and Mylee by their sides, the love and joy was tangible. All in all, a magical and memorable day!

18.01.2022 Such a special ceremony on Friday, for Mr and Mrs Michael and Melissa Harland.

18.01.2022 I was totally in awe of this unique ceremony. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2919005538112880&id=135975469749248

17.01.2022 Offering my Congratulations and wishing every happiness to August's newlyweds, Corey and Sarah Howe, and their delightful children. Sometimes in my careers as a teacher and as a celebrant, I have been incredibly fortunate in the special connections that have formed. My involvement in this wedding stems from one such connection, forged in the late 80s at West Dubbo P.S. Imagine my delight when asked to officiate for Michelle's daughter, Sarah! Despite the rain and having to abandon the garden venue, the beautiful ceremony was near perfect, full of love and happiness, tinged only by the sadness of Dwain's absence. However, the spirit of their beloved son/ brother/ uncle lives on in their hearts.

17.01.2022 It was an absolute pleasure to conduct the wedding of Tony and Jodi Elton a few weeks ago. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this lovely couple. The whole day, the setting and the tangible love of the bride and groom, family and friends made for a perfect day.

16.01.2022 Dubbo's Shoyoen Japanese Garden provided an idyllic setting on Saturday when Mark Fieldus and Crystal Baird exchanged their vows in a touching, personal ceremony they had written, much to the delight of their guests. I wish them both every happiness!!

16.01.2022 It was an absolute privilege and pleasure to officiate at the marriage of my awesome friend, Kez to her soulmate, Ez, and the declaration of their family including Payton and Rhyley. The weather may have been somewhat nippy and overcast but every other aspect of the day was perfect. The scene was a riot of colour. The brides were radiant, eloquent and so obviously in love. The children were exuberant and the guests revelled in the occasion, sharing the absolute joy and love of the union they'd just witnessed. I met so many amazing people and it was a delight finally meeting Kez's brother, Wayne. (So like Kez!) I wish the Matterson family lifelong love and dreams fulfilled!

15.01.2022 Spring has sprung! LOVE is in the air! Saturday was a perfect day when Tim and Tory became Mr and Mrs White, with son Tyson by their side, in a glorious setting, witnessed by an intimate circle of family and close friends. Thank you for having me be part of your day!

12.01.2022 Close family and friends were delighted to witness and celebrate the marriage of Mr and Mrs Craig and Rattana (affectionately known as Nana) Morrissey recently. The bushland setting on the banks of the Castlereagh River was the perfect backdrop for a ceremony where Nana's Thai culture and heritage were merging with the Australian elements of her future. Celebrations will continue in Thailand where the happy couple will honeymoon.

09.01.2022 Some interesting data. Almost 5,000 Same-Sex Couples have married in Australia since the law changed, representing 6% of the total marriages. I proudly performed two of those momentous ceremonies.

09.01.2022 Let’s show the haters that true love will always win with this fairy tale wedding story.

08.01.2022 On May 5, 2018, I was delighted to officiate at the wedding of Mr and Mrs Dylan and Payge (nee Luffman) Ridley, in a magnificent country setting, on the hilltop of 'Haddington', Comobella. One picture is not enough to convey the scene! Wishing you both every happiness with your precious Delilah!

07.01.2022 I normally do not make political comments on this page, the only exception to date being my statements endorsing the YES vote in the 2017 plebiscite to legalize same sex marriages. Now I really want to share with you this article and celebrate Tanzania's progressive policy "empowering girls"! Still some loopholes but on the right track!

06.01.2022 A perfect April day in a glorious rural setting on the Roach family property of 'La Bona', saw Noel and Heather become Mr & Mrs Roach. The happy couple were joined by delighted family and friends, as their attendants and witnesses, in the back garden oasis transformed by Ellen Roach. No attention to detail had been spared on the rural features from the two semi cabs arriving with the bridal party on board, to the impressive backdrop of machinery! It was indeed a pleasure being part of the day!

04.01.2022 I was delighted to see couples already marrying under the changes to the Marriage Act. Special permission was granted to waive the one month waiting period, due to extenuating circumstances. I am currently amending my services and have ordered new forms and certificates. I feel honoured to have been asked by two couples already, to perform their marriages early in 2018. http://www.smh.com.au//australias-first-samesex-couples-sa

03.01.2022 The magnificent setting of The Warrumbungles Mountain Motel, Coonabarabran, proved the perfect choice for Rowena Mackay and Jason Hanney to exchange their vows yesterday as they married in front of family and closest friends. The occasion was truly magical!
