24.01.2022 Our new practice, Manning Dental is growing and it is now time to expand our team to find a special person to help run the surgery along with our existing Narembeen and Corrigin Dental surgeries. As you can imagine a large part of this job will involve TEETH. Looking at them, cleaning them, fixing them and building new ones if the original set decides to check out early. Applicants should be caring and prepared to talk to the owners of the teeth, and it would be goo...d if they could SMILE to encourage the tooth owner to feel relaxed in our beautiful new surgery. Yes we know as they arrive people love to tell you how much they don't want to be visiting us - It will be your job to make the tooth owner fee comfortable and valued. You will be happy to explain what to expect at their visit as it may be the millionth time you have had to go through this, BUT it might be the first time for them!! This is a really exciting position located in Manning. You will be dealing with the care and treatments for our Wheatbelt surgeries where we have been providing, and will be continuing to provide, oral health care for more than 15 years. So a good understanding of the guys who dedicate their lives to making sure we all have our daily calories catered for would be welcomed. Now if you have read to the end of this story and think you would like to join our team of dedicated of tooth professionals and support Dr John Cobley check out this advert on seek or PM me if you need any further information. DON'T be shy to SHARE this post as we are also looking for a dentist to join us!

15.01.2022 It has been an exciting week for Dr John Cobley and his team. Restrictions have been eased and we are now able to provide ALL dental treatments. Megan is our super star and needs a special mention with her positive energy and caring nature that has helped us maintain emergency dental care for our rural patients. She has also been working in our Manning surgery and been busy calling everyone in all surgeries who had to delay appointments and booking them. We are looking forward to resuming our regular dental care. Do you need to get some sparkle back after all that iso coffee?

15.01.2022 We all love junk food, but alas, it does not love us back. In fact, not only does it make fitting into those jeans you love a struggle, but its not good for our mouth at all. Youre much better drinking water, limiting sugar intake (watch out for hidden sugars in drinks and foods), avoid snacking between meals, instead sticking to three meals a day and concentrating on the good stuff like vegetables and dairy products. Of course, before you make any major dietary changes, first check with a healthcare professional.

04.01.2022 If you're like most people, theres not a whole of brushing going on. In fact, only 50% of Australians brush twice a day. The reality is that a quick, occasional dash along your teeth with a hope and a prayer is not going to cut it. As your dentist will tell you, you need to brush for at least 2 minutes twice a day, taking care to use a soft-bristled toothbrush #thesofterthebetter (they're less damaging to your teeth and gums than their harder counterparts) to clean your teeth systematically along all surfaces, always brushing in small, circular motions.

03.01.2022 You might be thinking - another boring flossing video WRONG! A really quick video with fantasitc tips on flossing - are you doing it right? Or the big question ...... Do you even Floss? And no, we don't mean the dance :)

02.01.2022 - . ? Calcium is an important mineral needed for your body to function. You are probably already aware that it is important for strong bones and teeth. Did you also know you need calcium to ensure that your blood clots properly, and your heart beats as it should? ... If your diet is varied and balanced there is less need to think about how much calcium you are getting. Are you avoiding milk and dairy products due to intolerance, or you are following a plant based diet? You may need to look for foods which can help achieve your daily intake of calcium. It surprised us to find that asparagus is on the high list of calcium sources. Great if you love it! Kale is super high in calcium But some of us here are not as ready to swap our glass of milk for kale Do you have other sources of calcium that you like

02.01.2022 A message from Dr John Cobley, Megan and Sarah TEMPORARY CHANGE TO BUSINESS (Effective Friday 27 March 2020) Closure of non-essential services Emergency dental services only... For the past 30 years Dr John Cobley and his staff have always taken infection control extremely seriously. We follow strict infection guidelines and sterilisation procedures in accordance with the ADA (Australian Dental Association), to ensure the safety of all patients from viruses and diseases such as Hep C, Aids and Herpes. COVID-19: Additional infection control procedures As global concern regarding COVID-19 has risen, we have been constantly monitoring our processes and have implemented the following additional infection control procedures to reduce the spread of any infection: Lengthened appointment times to allow for extra cleaning Reduced the number of patients in the surgery to comply with social distancing recommendations Government recommendation on dental services The government deemed dental services as essential services, so long as they are provided safely. ADA restrictions to dental services On Monday 23 March 2020, the ADA advised that all dental practices should now restrict treatment further and reduce some procedures. We anticipate that this is likely to be an interim measure, and that we may be placed on restrictive services, possibly from as early as next week. If this happens, we would only be able to see patients who require emergency procedures. We would not be permitted to carry out non-essential dental services, such as examinations / scale and cleans. We believe that now is the time to consider the safety and health of our dentist, staff and patients, so we will close the dental surgery to non-essential dental appointments from Friday 27 March 2020 until further notice. How to contact Dr John for emergencies If you have a dental emergency, you will still have access to Dr John Cobley by calling the surgery 90632 323 or 0419 987 397. We are here to support your dental health and encourage you to call if you are having any dental issue.

01.01.2022 A recent survey revealed that 65% of Australians have not seen a dentist in the last two years! Yup, thats right two whole years. Sure, thats extra time for catching on Game of Thrones but is it good for your teeth, and the health of your whole mouth? Not really. You should really be seeing your dentist every 6 to 12 months or as needed to keep on top of your dental health.

01.01.2022 We couldn't think of a more perfect winner of our Valentine's Day competition. Congratulations Leanne Sands! Who is currently enjoying her honeymoon - what a overload we have going on here!! ... Your response about loving ones self gave us all the warm and fuzzies and is a important message for everyone! We can't wait to hear all about your honeymoon when you get back and book in your winning check-up! Enjoy!
