24.01.2022 This week we had some special visitors, Lisa and Charmaine from Rockhampton Regional Council to do a special demonstration and talk about safety around dogs. The "Part of the Pack" program focuses on teaching children how to be safe around dogs. It aligns with Quality Area 6 Collaborative partnerships with families and communities of the National Quality Framework (National Quality Standards).

23.01.2022 This week the children have been learning about the Emergency Services and their role in our community. We took a little stroll down to the North Rockhampton Police Station and the wonderful Senior Constable Kym gave us a special tour of the station. Of course their favourite part was looking in the car and sounding the siren. Thank you to everyone at North Rockhampton Police Station for being so accommodating. The children had a ball.

The children were so excited to see the changes today at our drop in day and we love the new fresh, homely feel the Kindy has now. 22.01.2022 Our tuckshop day was a huge success. Thanks to The Crazy Joker for delivering these yummy meals. The children absolutely loved getting "tuckshop" at Kindy today. Thumbs up from everyone

20.01.2022 We have been super busy over the holidays revamping the Kindy and giving it not only more of a modern look but homely feel. After successfully receiving a grant from Rockhampton Regional Council through the Community Assistance Program we were able to replace the flooring. This has been on our Strategic Plan for many years now. Thanks to the team from Ultimate Flooring Xtra for installing the stunning new flooring. We also completely repainted the interior with a nice new li...ck of paint thanks to Huntly's Painting . The walls look absolutely amazing and fresh. We can't wait to get in there, set up the room and prepare for all of our 2021 Families to walk through our doors at drop in day next week. 'This project received assistance from Rockhampton Regional Council's Community Assistance Program'.

19.01.2022 We celebrated our final week of Playgroup this Wednesday by cooling off in the watery fun of wet play and ice blocks. We also gave everyone a special gift. Usually Santa would make an appearance, however with travel restrictions he is only able to leave the North Pole on Christmas Eve. Playgroup will resume on Wednesday 27th January, 2021 at 9am. 18.01.2022 Narnia Kindergarten is a Not-For-Profit Community Kindergarten that relies heavily on support from their families and the wider community. We were super grateful to recently receive a donation from Comiskey Mining Services that funded a brand new water play set. This amazing resource comes with a manual water pump and various troughs for the children to experiment with water flow. This will enhance their experiences with water play and already it has been incredibly popular. Thank you so much and the children are so happy with this new addition to our Playground.

17.01.2022 It's the last week of Kindy and we all know what that means......Wet Day, party games, ice creams and playing Santa. We had lots of fun today celebrating the end of the year with our friends and we look forward to sharing the celebrations with friends and family tomorrow at our mini Graduation......

Not only was it tasty but it looked good too And shout out to Brendan from CQ Production Hire for the use of the PA system. made for a much smoother concert and the children got to do a bit of karaoke once the parents left

13.01.2022 To end a topsy turvy term we held our annual Sports Day. At first we were unsure whether we were going to be able to or not, and then with some adjustments in accordance with COVID-19 restrictions, WE DID!!! A big shout out and thank you to Bastian from Kindysport for running our final Kindysport lesson and special sports day complete with medals and lots of cheering. Although the families couldn't attend this year the teachers and children made up for the extra side line motivation. The children absolutely loved their Kindysport lessons and now we can continue with the online program for the remainder of the year.

12.01.2022 Yesterday it was Teacher Appreciation Day. Of course with everything going on this completely slipped our minds. But thankfully we have the most amazing families at Narnia and one of our gorgeous Mums and her beautiful daughter gave us this stunning platter from Star Grazing. Happy Teacher Appreciation day for yesterday to all of the amazing, generous and wonderful teachers out there.

12.01.2022 Our first playgroup back after restrictions have eased. It was so lovely to see familiar faces and some new faces attend today. Narnia Playgroup runs every Wednesday from 9-11am and is $2 per child over 12 months. We look forward to seeing everyone again next week.

National Pyjama Day is all about wearing your favourite pair of PJ's to help The Pyjama Foundation raise much-needed awareness and funds for children in foster care. 02.01.2022 Ok, so I know I say this like a thousand times, but I'm going to say it again. We have THE best staff and team at Narnia!!!!!!! Today we thought we'd make a head start and begin setting up. We knew this year was going to be harder then ever with having to redo displays and fixtures on the walls, as well as set out furniture. But in my infinite wisdom I also wanted to revamp some of our furniture to suit the grandeur of the new floors and paintwork. Little did we know just ho...w much furniture we wanted to fix, and how long this would take. Thank you to my darling husband for also lending a hand today and doing the fun job of sanding back layers of old paint from over the years. To the amazing staff we have at Narnia, Ange and Lani, you guys always go above and beyond. And I know that I can have some high expectations and crazy ideas, but you both definately exceed these. You all deserve a beer tonight. And be ready to do it all again on Monday
