22.01.2022 Council will be out and about next week speaking with the community about the Coastal Management Program. All are welcome to attend a series of drop-in sessions to learn about the Eurobodalla Coastal Management Program and how the community can contribute to how we carry this program forward. We want to hear your ideas so we can build a plan that helps to manage and protect one of our favourite natural features the coast.... If you cannot make a session click on the Have Your Say tab beside the event notice. We want your ideas so please attend a session or forward your ideas through the link provided. http://www.esc.nsw.gov.au/home/news-and-events/events
18.01.2022 How good is this???
11.01.2022 Level 1 water restrictions will apply in Eurobodalla from Saturday 20 October to help secure our water supply over the summer months. Flows in the Deua and Tu...ross Rivers from which we source Eurobodalla’s water supply - have all but ceased, prohibiting us from extracting water. The Eurobodalla community is now relying solely on the water storage at Deep Creek Dam, which has fallen to less than 80 per cent capacity. Without significant rainfall that improves river flow, our water storage will continue to fall by about one to two per cent per week. As a community we need to take action now to ensure our supply meets essential needs into the future. Restrictions for residents and visitors (outdoor use only): Fixed sprinklers, micro-spray systems, and unattended hoses are banned Washing hard surface areas, such as paths, driveways, decks, patios and parking areas, is banned Watering gardens and lawns is permitted using one hand-held hose or one drip-irrigation system at a time, between 5pm and 10am Washing vehicles, such as cars, boats, bikes and trailers, is permitted at any time on grass areas using buckets and a final rinse with a trigger nozzle hose Boat motors can be flushed on grass areas at any time Washing boats, cars or trailers at boat ramps is prohibited New and existing private swimming pools and outdoor spas can be topped up using one hand-held hose between 5pm and 10am. Cover when not in use. Water restrictions are enforceable and applicable to all shire water users, including residents, visitors, businesses and public services, with the exception of emergency services. There are different restrictions for some businesses and services that take into account their water access needs. For the full list visit Council's website

In two hours, 47 volunteers collected almost 230litres of marine debris and litter from our beach with quite a... lot recyclables along with irrigation pipe, fishing debris, cigarettes and lots and lots of tiny bits of plastic. Huge thanks from Clear Tides whi facilitated the clean up and entries into the Australian Marine Debris Information (AMDI) database to our Club for the loan of the BBQ and the stunning setting on our deck watching dolphins and whales... 02.01.2022 Folks, we're on level 1 water restrictions. That means one hand-held hose or drip irrigation system after 5pm and before 10am. And please don't: use sprinkle...rs, micro-spray systems or unattended hoses wash hard surfaces like paths, driveways or decks wash watercraft, trailers or vehicles at boat ramps. Find out all you need to know about water restrictions in the shire >> www.esc.nsw.gov/water << including frequently asked questions. Most water used around the house goes on the garden. That's why water restrictions only apply to outdoor water use. Every drop counts See more
