25.01.2022 Brians labour of love - signs made on a CNC router then a lot of finishing, painting etc

24.01.2022 Fred got bored one afternoon and came up with these

24.01.2022 The guys have been playing on the CNC router doing up a few signs. The cheese boards are cut on the router but then hand sanded, oiled and branded with the clubs name.

22.01.2022 Following our latest wood collecting foray (ended up as more of a pruning effort), we discovered the local easements arent good thoroughfares in damp weather. But the Ford Ranger was dragged to safety by our hero in his Isuzu (note stand-in Ranger used as the vehicle involved is still receiving counselling).

22.01.2022 The guys in the turning shed having a burl

21.01.2022 Narooma Markets has been cancelled which is a pity as a number of groups had fund raisings for the fires planned. But the oval was required for parking and there will be another in a month

21.01.2022 Here are some photos I have been meaning to put up taken by Zsolt Hary at the Tilba show

20.01.2022 The South Coast Woodwork Show at Central Tilba is over for another year. With over 600 visitors it was a success and a lot of fun. But now we have a a rest.....

19.01.2022 Several of us went collecting some old timber at one of the local farms near Cobargo

19.01.2022 Some of the bits that are about to rotate thru our display at the butchers shop on the flat

19.01.2022 To give the Narooma Mens Shed assistance for their impending move, the Narooma Woodies has donated $500 to help with the relocation.

19.01.2022 Many thanks to Club Narooma which thru the Club Grants programme has provided Narooma Woodies with funding to purchase a powerful Cyclone dust extractor which will substantially improve the air quality in the main workshed.

16.01.2022 Article from the online Eurobodalla Beagle. A similar article was in the Narooma News but the photo got canned. https://www.beagleweekly.com.au//Narooma-Woodies-Offer-A-H

16.01.2022 The Narooma Woodies finally had the broken quadrangle at the old school replaced with a new concreted area. It is both safer and an easier surface to move timber and machinery over. The club BBQ to celebrate the project finally being completed.

14.01.2022 Fun with old hard wood fence palings - big letter box and small bird house

13.01.2022 Given the current flu situation we have suspended our regular workshed days on Tuesdays and Friday morning. Hopefully it wont be too long. The fate of the annual woodwork show held on the June long weekend at Tilba is up in the air and we will make a decision on that closer to time. Keep well.

11.01.2022 Just while we wait out this flu virus I will do few posts of interesting bits of woodwork I have come across

10.01.2022 More sad news from the bushfires which have ravaged Eurobodalla Shire. Our fellow woodwork club at Mogo, the Eurobodalla Woodies, was badly affected when the Gold Rush Village was burnt out. We have been informed they have lost their workshop which probably means most of their equipment, their stock and their wonderful timber store. Our thoughts are with them.

09.01.2022 The Woodies practising their timber milling skills. Not a lot planks produced but of course quality over quantity (as they say). Note the DLC in the background.

09.01.2022 A nice sunny morning at the Narooma Markets with our energetic marketeers

08.01.2022 From the Narooma News a couple of weeks ago https://www.naroomanewsonline.com.au//woodies-celebrate-/

07.01.2022 Narooma Woodies are back up and running - okay a bit older and creakier but still soldiering on. It was Paul Goards 90th birthday in our absence so Colin brought a belated birthday along to mark the occasion. We just had to force it down.

07.01.2022 As mentioned the Eurobodalla Woodies based in Mogo was completely burnt out in the recent fires. They have set up a GoFundMe page to help them rebuild. Here is a link to their web page http://www.eurobodallawoodies.org.au/

07.01.2022 Breadboards, always more breadboards.........

06.01.2022 Here is something one of our turners did - Coolabah Burl Wave Bowl

06.01.2022 Wont swipe any more of Freds, these are taken from the web - The Tower Box (Open African Blackwood, Cocobolo), Hapsburg Eagle, Human Dog Hybrid

05.01.2022 We have been busy back beavering away. No markets to sell anything but we are building up an impressive stockpile. We had to cancel the annual woodwork show at Tilba as it wasn't feasible to run a medium sized indoor event with all the restrictions. But hopefully next year.

05.01.2022 Colins pizza shovel

05.01.2022 Some recent Woodies activities at the Narooma markets and cutting up some of the logs at the worksheds.

03.01.2022 Every year the Narooma Woodies collects food cans over the 2 months before Xmas to donate to the Salvos Xmas Appeal. Pictured is Salvation Army officer Ben Knight receiving the boxes of cans from Narooma Woodies Treasurer, Phil Stafford-Gaffney.

01.01.2022 Some members of the Woodies fishing for grass trout on the oval

01.01.2022 The Narooma Woodies will be at the Narooma markets tomorrow morning (Sunday) and at the Bodalla School fete on Thursday afternoon.
