21.01.2022 Unfortunately, due to the incident that happened a couple of weeks ago at Lake Park against St Johns, the Narrabeen A grade has been suspended from playing any further part in this year's competition. Narrabeen A Grade are appealing this decision to clear our name as this is definitely not what our club is all about. We have worked so hard over the last 3 years to create a sporting environment that players, kids, and parents want to be involved in. We aligned ourselves and ra...ised money for certain charities. We have built this club up to be the most successful Junior League club on the Northern Beaches, as our numbers will attest. Unfortunately, our A Grade does not get the chance to defend our 2018 Premiership. Although we will not be playing at Lake Park tomorrow, and the Under 17s have had Bondi forfeit, we still have the come and try Physical Disability Rugby league games on down there, so come down and throw your support behind these guys, Games kick off at 1200.

20.01.2022 President Update I wanted to personally reach out to the Narrabeen Sharks families and give you an update on the NSWRL’s announcement today that all 2020 Community Rugby League competitions and activities have been postponed until at least 1 May due to COVID-19. This means that Narrabeen Sharks JRLFC operations must cease immediately until the first week of May.... This includes all team training and playing matches. It should not stop your child from doing their own fitness training and developing their skills so that when the season does start we are all ready to hit the ground running. I understand how disappointing it is for our kids who are already training hard and looking forward to the season, but we must all respect and follow the guidelines provided for us to minimise the spread of the virus to the vulnerable in our community. The club is in contact with the NSWRL and the MWDJRL who are currently working on contingency plans to ensure the 2020 season goes ahead. 15.01.2022 RIP Paul (Dozza) Evans A huge part of Paul's life was his involvement with the Narrabeen Sharks Rugby League Football Club Playing his first year as a seven-year-old, he went on to Captain A-Grade for several years. In his first year of A-Grade, he was awarded player’s player and best and fairest.... Paul played in many Grand Finals, winning consecutive Minor Premier and Premierships from 1982 to 1984. Paul coached junior and senior teams at the Sharks whilst playing in his senior years. He was elected President in 2011 and 2012 and one of the Club’s major sponsors. 10.01.2022 RIP Dennis Evans (Life Member) From the early '70s through the '80s and '90's, Dennis was a familiar face down at Shark Park, coaching young Sharkies from the book of hard knocks to manning the barbecue and at one stage employing half of the senior players at the club. In the late '80s Dennis was one of a group of Shark Members that started the push to build a new clubhouse and in 1999 when the clubhouse was finally built Dennis was there to throw in a brick or two.... 1982 Dennis was awarded a Life Membership etching his name forever in the history of our great club. On behalf of the Narrabeen Sharks, deepest sympathy to Dennis's family and friends. May his soul rest in peace. There will be 2-sessions this week both at 4 pm for 30-minutes: Tuesday 21 April 2020 Under 6 to U11... Thursday 23 April 2020 - Under 12 to U16 Details of Session Each session will be a 30 min workout for players of all fitness levels. As the oldest and biggest club on the Peninsular, we have a long tradition of producing Junior Representative, First Grade, and Australian Representative players.... We have teams for every age group from Under 6s to Under 20s as well as Open Age A Grade and Over 35s Masters where we have players in their 60s. For 2020 we are introducing Girls only Blues Tag Teams for Under 11, 13 and 15s where the rules are the same, but the game is non-contact. 03.01.2022 Narrabeen Sharks Rugby League Club would like to send our condolences to the Dalziel family - one of the Sharkies biggest supporters, Val Dalziel. Val would never miss a match heading down to Lake Park with her husband John and their boys Adam and Corey watching on their brother Dazzle (Ian) who played over 100-150 games for the Sharkies and captained nearly every side he played in for the Club. Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time and we are hoping Val will be with us in spirit at Lake Park when we hit the field in 2020. In loving memory RIP Val xxxx

02.01.2022 Nominations for President 2020 I wanted to take the opportunity to formally announce that I will be not be nominating for selection as President for the 2020 season due to family commitments as my sons who will be taking a year off Rugby League. I have thoroughly enjoyed my role at the Club and helping the Club forge ahead in 2019 being the largest Junior Rugby League club on the northern beaches. Rugby League is the greatest game in the world and I am so proud to have been P...resident of the Narrabeen Sharks Club for the past 2-years. Join Shane Casey from Anytime Fitness Narrabeen this Thursday at 4pm for an online Fitness session.... Session will be a 30 min workout for players of all fitness levels. We will focus on strength and endurance and will incorporate the use of football (or any other type of ball) to help develop ball-handling skills. 02.01.2022 Glen Horrie Evans RIP Glen started playing in 1977 at the age of 5 for the Sharks, with his father Dennis Evans (Life Member ) as the Coach. He went on to play in both the Manly junior rep teams Harold Mathews, Jersey Flagg and continued all the way to play with our A grade.... 01.01.2022 Narrabeen Sharks would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the Toni Couper and her boys, Zac, Ben & Joel for the loss of their father, Tim Couper. Tim worked tirelessly at the Narrabeen Sharks Football Club over the years as a volunteer, the first one there to do field set-ups to manning the BBQ to coaching his teams he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. The Sharkies family are here for anything that you guys need.... RIP Tim, never forgotten.
