A group of kids will smash a batch of these choc chip bikkies in one sitting if you let them. So get baking & enjoy! 21.01.2022 With strawberries cheap this week, thought we’d make some jam. The strawberries can be substituted for most seasonal fruits, just adjust lemon juice for acidity level needed or if making jam from figs, I add 25g of fresh grated ginger per kilo of fruit & swap the white sugar for raw sugar for a caramelly flavour. If using fig or mulberries go for the nearly ripe fruit for better gelling ability. If you want a smooth consistency, use a stick blender to smoosh the fruit completely. If you are worried about the pizza sticking, roll the base out on baking paper. Some suggested toppings are, bacon, ham, mushrooms, salami, cabanosi, tomato, pineapple, capsicum, red onion, shredded chicken, roast beef & of course, cheese!! This is a super quick & easy Sweet Chilli Mud Crab recipe is guaranteed to impress, using sweet chilli sauce takes the heat level down considerably, but sauce can be substituted for 2 chillies, seeded & chopped for those who like some kick. 16.01.2022 Christmas time mad rush has struck again!!! So it’s Friday recipes on a Monday this week. These 2 recipes are a family tradition, coming straight from my Mum, Aunty, Grandma, Great-Aunt & Granny’s cookbooks. These tried & tested recipes work a treat, though I would recommend the Christmas cake be done in a half sized batch or to mix the fruit into the batter by hand in a super huge bowl as it maxed out my 5L mixer bowl. If you use a mixture of fresh & frozen fruits you get a yummy drink for your mornings with the added benefit of your daily fruit requirements being met. For the healthier option, use water not juice for your liquid content & don’t remove any edible skin from your fruit(cause that’s where the roughage is).
