12.01.2022 GONE FISHING For ONE night a year our WNVS Team clocks off to let our hair down. After an unusually hectic year, our team has decided to head to the Narrabri Fish Farm to be entertained by Ricko.... Between 12pm SATURDAY 28th - 10am SUNDAY 29th our phones will be turned OFF. Allpets will be available to help with any emergency cases and we thank them for their assistance. Pending Barbs hangover, she will be back on deck SUNDAY MORNING. As always, we appreciate your understanding! P.S. We plan to party HARD!!

10.01.2022 MEET TRUDY With an increasingly busy workload, Trudy is a very welcome Part Time addition to our Veterinarian team. Being in the Veterinary Industry for over 15 years, Trudy has developed a love for small animal behavioural medicine and takes a special interest in feline consultations.... We are very excited to have Trudy joining us and we know that she will be a great asset to our Clinic family.

09.01.2022 NOT ALL HEROS WEAR CAPES; SOME WEAR COLLARS! We had a hero amongst us today at the Narrabri Vet Clinic. Today Freddie unbuckled his collar and bravely donated 300mls of his blood to help save our sweet friend Princessa.... Princessa is feeling much better already and Freddie received the doggy equivalent of a cookie and milkshake for his heroic donation.

09.01.2022 RAT BAIT - BLOOD DONORS In the last few weeks we have seen an increase in the number of dogs exposed to rat bait. Rat bait is an anticoagulant and prevents blood from clotting, which can lead to DEATH. As the number of cases has increased so rapidly we are quickly running out of suitable blood donors. We would like a put a call out to our valued community to put their large breed dogs on a blood donor list that we can call if blood is required. ... Suitable donors would be: * Over 25kg * Aged between 1-5 years old * Fully vaccinated * Good temperament * In good health If you think your dog may be suitable please comment or call the Narrabri (6792 4388) or Wee Waa (6795 3066) Veterinary Clinics. We would greatly appreciate your help saving lives As always prevention is better than a cure, so if you have rat baits out make sure your animals cannot get to them, and watch out for baited mice/rats as animals can eat them and get affected too. Please contact the clinic if you think your animal may have been exposed to rat bait, or if you would like more information.

08.01.2022 Another fun day out

03.01.2022 VETERINARY NURSE DAY 2020 Today we celebrate our amazing nursing team! We have a running joke here at WNVS called ‘when vets try to nurse’ meaning everything falls apart when a vet tries to do a nurse’s job. We vets are honestly hopeless at certain things, so thank you for doing up our e-collars, finding stuff we’ve been looking for for half an hour, fixing our clip jobs, hitting a vein when we can’t, making awesome cups of tea, and most importantly supporting us no matt...er what! Thank you Deb, Sharne, Abbey, Jamie and Sophie from your forever grateful vets Michael, Barb, Emma, Sophie, Trudy and Laura.

01.01.2022 WELCOME LAURA Laura is the lastest addition to our expanded veterinary team. We first met Laura when she did placement with us in August. She loved us so much she decided to stay, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her! Laura has an interest in surgery and large animal medicine. Look forward to seeing her smiling face at your next visit!
