24.01.2022 Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Newell Highway from next week for road investigations for future road works. Geotechnical investigations will be carried out in the northbound and southbound lanes and road shoulders between Narrandera and Goondiwindi from Monday, January 18 to Friday, February 19. Work will take place on weekdays between 7am and 6pm, weather permitting. The northbound and southbound lanes of this section will be closed intermittently... during work hours. The crew will start in Narrandera and work their way to Goondiwindi, undertaking the investigations in each location for one day. For the safety of workers and road users, local speed reductions of 40 km/h and 60 km/h will be in place for the duration of the investigations. Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and obey signs and traffic control. Transport for NSW thanks road users for their patience during this time.
