22.01.2022 A very successful day at Gundagai for our 15 Narrandera High School Riverina Cross Country runners. All students ran extremely well and tried very hard. Ellie Hall and Ky Bloomfield won their age group and are the 2021 Riverina Champions with Brooke Hall, Connor Smith and Jasmine Fraser also making the team for the State Cross Country. Sam Williamson is also a reserve. An excellent effort and we are proud of all of you!

14.01.2022 Girls Group: Caring for Ourselves and our Environment - Term 2 We are so very grateful for the opportunities and the highly skilled and generous people that we have in our school and our town of Narrandera. Our goal this term was to provide education and experiences that teach us how to live sustainably within our environment and within our life. A tremendous amount of th...ankfulness and gratitude goes out to the following members of our community for their knowledge and support this term: Local Community Gardens - for offering us the opportunity to explore all the many wonderful things our community is creating and growing. She also kindly donated a variety of seasonal vegetables to our Girls Group. Jenny Morsanuto - for her expertise and time in the kitchen, teaching the girls how to use seasonal vegetables to make delicious meals. Mrs McLay - for kindly offering her teaching space to us. 12.01.2022 Today was a great last day of school for our students. Students spent the whole day engaging in alternative activities and enjoyed their time down at the pool to escape the heat. The staff easily defeated the students in the ‘Pink Stumps’ cricket match and it was also great to raise a significant amount of money for the McGrath Foundation.

10.01.2022 Tomorrow, Thursday June 17, students are able to wear casual clothes or their pyjamas for a gold coin donation. This is a Year 12 fundraising event. 10.01.2022 We are very proud of our HSC results that were released this morning. The following students were recognised as Distinguished Achievers for achieving marks over 90 in one or more of their subjects: Lucy Litchfield - Design and Technology and Food Technology. ... Jacinta Smith - Food Technology Mahlei Gilmour - Investigating Science and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education. Madeline Rainbird - Personal Development, Health and Physical Education. Analysis of our results also indicated that we have our greatest ever number of students who have achieved results in the Top 2 and 3 HSC bands. This is wonderful news that affirms the progress of our improvement agenda and also ensures our students have many post school options. Congratulations to all HSC students, we are very proud of you all!

03.01.2022 We are looking forward to welcoming students back tomorrow after a long weekend. A reminder that all students are expected to be at school by 8.50am each day for morning assembly. It is important that we expect and promote good habits, including being on time, for all of our student body.

03.01.2022 This week at Girls Group we started with a ‘Gratitude Circle’ where each of us stated something we are thankful for. We spoke about our support networks and discussed the people who we can talk to when needed, this included friends, family and teachers. We played a game called This or That using a ball of wool and paddle pop sticks. At the end of the game we had formed a web using the wool between the whole entire group showing our connections to each other. We ended with a... fun activity, making our own tassel keyring for our bags using the wool as a reminder of time in Girls Group today and as an appreciation of the connection that we have with others. Connection is important for our wellbeing and can help with emotional regulation. Being connected with others can lead to higher self-esteem and empathy. Ami & Krystin #LoveWhereYouLearn
