23.01.2022 Term 2 at Narranga Today the Premier announced that the first two weeks of Term 2 would follow the same format as the end of Term 1 - only students whose parent...s worked in essential services or had no other options should attend school. It was also announced that these students will not begin Week 1 until Wednesday April 29, as teachers would use the Monday and Tuesday to prepare for the massive new changes that are on their way. From Week 3 (beginning Monday May 11) all students will be allocated 1 day per week to attend school - plus the essential services / no other options group. At Narranga, we are planning to ask parents to send students on a specific day of the week based on which sports house they are in. They will be learning at school in small age based groups (not their usual classes) which should help us with social distancing requirements. Because Australia has largely followed expert medical advice since the Covid 19 emergency began, our infection and fatality rates have remained low. We have all seen the horrific images of countries where this was not the case. Parents have been fantastic so far - and we must continue to follow government guidelines to help keep Narranga students, families and teachers safe. Obviously mothers day has passed so people who have paid we could transfer their money to the fathers day (or get a refund) or would you like us to still do a mothers gift stall? It all got a bit too hard unfortunately! Let us know your thoughts!

10.01.2022 Day 1 - Students Tomorrow (Friday) we will welcome our Year 1-6 students for another great year at Narranga. Students can make their way to the 3-6 playground a...s usual and play with their friends until the bell. After assembly, they will be split into their 2020 classes, while we check on unexpected arrivals or departures. When we are confident that our planned 2021 class structure is still OK, we will split them into their new classes - we hope that this will be possible tomorrow. Day 1 - Parents We are still encouraging parents to access the school grounds only if necessary. You will notice QR codes are now displayed around the school. Please check-in - even if you're only visiting the office.

09.01.2022 If anyone has any black shorts/skirts the kids have outgrown,the school would love to take them off your hands! The cupboard is bare and we go through a few a week. Please drop them into the office! THANKS Narranga Public School

09.01.2022 Welcome to Term 2! Whilst things are still not back to normal we unfortunately won't be able to hold the Mothers Day Stall on the allocated date this year. We have a cupboard full of awesome gifts though, so we were hoping to be able to hold a Mothers/Carers stall on a date to be decided at the beginning of Term 3. We will be sending out another note later in this term (with another option to pay)when we have more details. For anyone that has already paid your money we are happy to hold on to it.
