25.01.2022 Pursuant to the Premier's directive earlier this afternoon, Narre Warren North Tennis Club will be closed until further notice. Access to the clubroom, the bathroom facilities and the courts is stricly prohibited.

24.01.2022 Dear members and general public: pursuant to a directive from Tennis Victoria, we are shutting down Narre Warren North Tennis Club effective immediately. Access to the clubroom, the bathroom facilities, and the courts is strictly prohibited until further notice. We appreciate everyone's cooperation during this time.

23.01.2022 We are excited to announce that the club will be reopening, with some restrictions, on Monday 18 May. Thank you for your patience during the lockdown and the temporary closure of our club. Please do the right thing and follow the guidelines below to ensure the club can stay open. NEW CLUB RULES (in accordance with Tennis Vic reopening guidelines) 1. The club house remains closed. Please do not enter. 2. Toilets will be open but please follow strict hygiene practices.... 3. To protect against infection please wash your hands before and after play and avoid touching your face while playing. Hand sanitiser has been placed at all gates. 4. Be aware of what surfaces you touch and ensure that you clean them after play. 5. Practice social distancing. Please keep more than 1.5m away from everyone else at all times. No handshakes allowed. 6. No gathering inside or outside the club. Get in, play tennis, get out. Singles and doubles are allowed but with a maximum of 10 people on courts 1 -4. Maximum 8 people on courts 5-6. If playing on 5-6 please park at the carpark closest to 5-7. Please bring your own water bottle and tennis balls. Use of the water fountains and taps is not allowed. Do not share water bottles. 8. Further guidelines can be viewed on Tennis Vic's website here: https://www.tennis.com.au//Return-to-Tennis-Guidelines-1.p ALLOCATION OF COURTS Courts will be allocated according to the following general guidelines. Please exercise common sense and courteousness during this time. 1. Priority on courts 1 and 2 for Footwork Tennis coaching. 2. Midweek ladies should generally play weekday mornings/early afternoon similar to times that MWL comp used to run. 3. School age and university age people should generally play during times that they would normally have squad. 4. Juniors can play saturday and sunday mornings during times that comp would normally be on. 5. Seniors can play saturday afternoons during times that comp would normally be on. 6. General social play for all members outside the above times, withe preference to members who do not fall into the above categories. 7. The courts will not be available for public hire for now, to ensure that members can have maximum use of the courts. 8. If you arrive and the courts are full, please leave and return an hour later. Please do not play for more than an hour if courts are full, or two hours otherwise. LESSONS AND COACHING Private lessons are available by appointment with Jeff at Footwork Tennis. Please contact him for all lesson enquiries. COMPETITION All competition remains suspended indefinitely. We will update you when Tennis Vic changes this position. 15.01.2022 We are excited to announce that tennis, with restrictions, is allowed once again. The following rules are now in place. - Casual tennis is allowed between 2 people only (ie singles). - Maximum of 10 people playing tennis at any time (not including coaching staff). - All existing rules remain in place regarding hygiene and social distancing. - You must wear a fitted mask at all times when not playing tennis.... - As before, no gathering inside or outside the club. Get in, play tennis, get out. - The clubroom remains shut but the toilets will be open. In order to play tennis at our club, you must be a paid-up member, and book a court using the following link, with the full name of both people playing (the person booking the court will be required to log in to the site, please add the name of the other person in the 'NOTES' section). https://nwntc.skedda.com/booking This is to ensure we keep a record of everyone who has played at the club in the event of a Covid19 case. Public court hire will be unavailable at this stage to allow members maximum usage of the courts. A maximum of 2 hours of court time is allowed per day per member to ensure access for all members.
